I had the engine Replaced on my 2017 Santa Fe in July. Rod bearing issue that all the GDI engines have since I got the car back, I found clamps missing, clamp installed wrong and I had a lower alternator Rod bearing issue that all the GDI engines have since I got the car back, I found clamps missing, clamp installed wrong and I had a lower alternator bolt come loose about a month and a half after the engine replacement. And then about two weeks ago, the car started missing and hesitating, and had to be towed back into the dealership. After a few test, they said it was fixed and I picked it up and drove it about 2 miles before it started hesitating and missing again so I had to bring the car back to the dealership. The issue ended up being a loose ground wire that was not tightened all the way during the engine replacement in July. A lot of bad work done from the mechanic and plenty of stories told from the advisor about what was going on with the car, definitely not satisfied with any aspect of the service department. More

As a result, I had to arrange for the car to be towed, which cost me $1,000 out of pocket. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, especially given the conflicting information and unexpected expenses. More
