I purchased my Accord from Tameron in May 2010 --- in October I started receiving phone calls from Tameron's new sales associates, stating "we guarantee we can lower your payment" - at first I told the s October I started receiving phone calls from Tameron's new sales associates, stating "we guarantee we can lower your payment" - at first I told the salesman I was not interested, but they were persistent so I finally gave in. The first appointment I met with an associate (who is no longer there) after work and spent 3hrs waiting for an answer only to be told they would have to get back with the next day. I never head from the associate, but close to 5:00 the following evening, heard from the finance mgr, "sorry nothing we can do", click, hung up with no explanation. How rude! Anyways, phone call again in November, told them I was not interested... and then another one on 12/8/11, from another new associate, whom I told of the first experience. He apologized and stated he would have his sales manager call me. Spoke with the Sales Mgr, he said looking at my information (supposedly the pay off info and all) he could not see any problems; so against my better judgement, I agreed to another appointment - but stated several times I did not want to waste my time and was promised that I would not be. Anyways, ended up spending another 3hrs at Tameron on Saturday and was told I would need a $8,000.00 down payment for a new car. WTH!! What happened to I guarantee I can help you? Thanks Tameron, but no thanks! Last time I do business with you. Who in this economy just happens to have that kinda of money laying around? Truly disappointed, especially since I had such a pleasant experience when I purchased the car with the help of Kay Glasgow. Hopefully, that will be the last phone call I receive from Tameron, not sure they will like to hear who I have to say during the next phone call. More
Everything turned out well with my purchase had some issues with the car and they stood behind it and made it rite. I'm glad I purchased from a dealer and not a individual. issues with the car and they stood behind it and made it rite. I'm glad I purchased from a dealer and not a individual. More
I have always bought used cars, but this time we decided it made the most sense to buy new. My wife shopped around, and Tameron had the best advertised prices. We showed up ready to negotiate, and told th it made the most sense to buy new. My wife shopped around, and Tameron had the best advertised prices. We showed up ready to negotiate, and told them at the very beginning that we had to get the children from day care in two hours, so we wanted to have an agreed-upon price by that time. Two hours later the used car office had our existing car and keys, and Tameron still had not given us a price. We packed up and left, and they gave us a price on the way out the door--literally. We kept walking. Very disgusted. My wife spent the afternoon calling every dealership in the state and Atlanta, and was able to negotiate a price $600 better in another city. I called the sales manager and asked him to match the price. I listened quietly until he finally agreed. After two more hours with the kids in the show room, we had the car. The process was not enjoyable, but I have to say that the salespeople were very nice, and they did give us a good price in the end. Be tough and negotiate hard, and be prepared for every sales trick you hear in the forums. I'm interested in the Life Care (dealer 250,000 mile drive train warranty) but skeptical. More
Worst sales manager ever. The sales experiance was so awful that I took a break from looking for a new car. The "saleswomen" did nothing other then walk numbers back and forth and did nothing to lower the price of the vehicle. The sales manager was so scary and rude that i had to just get out of that place. They try to tack on 1,000 worth of options which a normal person could buy at autozone for 50 bucks. 300 for mudflaps? 300 for pinstriping? 300+ for wheel locks? They are priced more then 1500 higher then Brenndon Honda, guess where I bought my car? This was honestly they worst experiance anyone could have while buying a car. More
I've never liked the car-buying experience, but this was the most pleasant I've ever had. Before beginning my car search, I had jokingly said that I wanted someone to go find me a good deal on a car, let me the most pleasant I've ever had. Before beginning my car search, I had jokingly said that I wanted someone to go find me a good deal on a car, let me know when they'd found something, and then I'd then go make the arrangements. After this purchase, I have a little different opinion. My husband and I went early one afternoon for our first visit in search of a car to replace my 10-year old car. We had originally planned to look at used cars, since we didn't expect to be able to afford a new one in the model we wanted. It didn't take long for our salesman to show us just what we wanted, in a new car, and with payments that were more than manageable. Richard was very helpful, but did not push us to purchase something we didn't want or couldn't afford. We went into Tameron to begin our car search, but ended up leaving that day with a brand new car. Love my new Honda! More
This is the third Honda I have leased. From the beginning Mr. Rob Nelson was personable, efficient and courteous. My recent lease was the most pleasant due to the saleslady, Kay Glasgow. I went to Tameron to buy my first new car, a 2011 Honda Insight. I recently sold my old, used car in order to buy a new car that had air conditioning and better gas mileage. I had just graduated from colle Insight. I recently sold my old, used car in order to buy a new car that had air conditioning and better gas mileage. I had just graduated from college, and needed a new car to drive back and forth to graduate school. I go there, they have the car I want, I test drive it and decide to buy it. We strike a deal of $4000 down $300/ mo. They were helping me get financed through the Graduate Program at American Honda Finance. I told them I wasn't currently AT the job, but would be starting in August. They assured me this was no problem, but asked for my employer's verification I did have a job there. They instructed me to tell my employer not to put a start date on the letter, in order for me to get financing, and I did as requested. Unfortunately the computers were down that day, so I had to come back the next day to finalize the deal, but they sent me home in my new car. I come back the next day prepared to wait a long time, not rushing the process, because I want to make sure everything is done correctly. I have to supply 6 more references, but other than that it takes little to no time to get me back into the finance room, sign the contract, bill of sale, and service/payment agreement. Before leaving the dealership I get full-coverage insurance, and they fill up my gas for me for free. I then go get a tag, apply for a title, and drive my new car all around town. The next day I get a call saying that they could not finance me and I'm going to have to return the car. They threaten that we both could get into serious legal trouble for supplying false information on the application. Apparently I was not in the HR system yet, because of the April tornadoes destroying Tuscaloosa everything was kind of at a standstill in the college department I am going to start working in the Fall. This 3rd party reporting system has reported back to American Honda Financing that I don't have a job, even-though they spoke to HR, not my supervisor. I am afraid of being charged with Grand Theft Auto, and make plans to return it the next day to an empty sales floor (I guess everyone was avoiding me). Tameron was horrified to hear that I applied for a title and got a tag. After my mother letting them have it over the phone, they refunded my $4000 down payment and gave me $300 to cover my expenses for gas, title, and tag, which is the only good thing about this deal. They then go on to sell the car as new, even though I've already put a good 400 miles on it driving around and to and from Tameron. They've left a bad taste in my mouth about buying new, and about Honda in general. I think I'm going to go with Volkswagen or Toyota whenever I get my car. Afterwards I kept getting letters, emails, and calls asking me about my buying experience and congratulating me on my new car. Tameron told me to lie to Honda when they called and tell them I decided to back out of the deal, because if I took the survey they would have 1 too many cars in their inventory. I told Honda the truth, filed a complaint with the Attorney General, but nothing became of it. These people are liars who are just trying to bait and switch people. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! THIS PLACE IS FULL OF NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS!!!!!!!! More
