Mr. Crews, It is never our intention to mislead anyone. I apologize for any lack of proper communication that may have occurred on our end. I reviewed the communication history and it looks like it began on 1/12 and finished on 1/15. I also see that this was a unit that had just entered our inventory. I do feel like our policy could and should have been made more clear to you and I have met with not only Khara but the entire internet department to help them to better understand the importance of communication. While we could have done a better job in this situation, I do not think that it is a matter of having no integrity. Khara set the appointment and no hold was placed on the vehicle. Perhaps she felt that due to the fact that the vehicle was currently in the shop process that there was no need. Another customer in the dealership purchased the same truck late that night. It is not uncommon for some vehicles to sell prior to clearing the shop. They are placed on the internet right away and there are 25 sales associates. We do have a process regarding the holding of a vehicle but this is typically only for drive time for folks who are driving a distance. We generally will do this for hours not days and do not require a deposit for this courtesy. Believe me, it is not an exact science. I guess my point is that perhaps one could consider our performance in this instance as unprofessional but not unethical or lacking integrity. There would have to be intent for ethics or integrity to come into play. We are not perfect and sometimes make mistakes but I can honestly say that our integrity is far more important that any one car deal or amount of money. I am sorry that we failed you.
