Changed my opinion of used car dealers & punk'd my son! I'd been searching & researching for months knowing my son was turning 17. He was looking for a specific color/year/etc truck & I had a specific budge I'd been searching & researching for months knowing my son was turning 17. He was looking for a specific color/year/etc truck & I had a specific budget. We were repeatedly told we would never find a truck that satisfied both of our criteria. Everyone warned me not to buy from used car dealers because they get the rejected vehicles with hidden problems. After another day of exhaustive internet searches we drove our usual trip up & down route 88 in Lakewood looking for any Ram 1500's. We stopped in several dealers with nothing that satisfied us both. TSJ had the most beautiful trucks out front & after meeting Lenny we added one of their Ram 1500's to our comparison list & my son put it #1 choice. I commented to my son that with their showroom displaying rare/luxury/expensive/looking new cars I felt TSJ was less likely to scam us. As we were leaving we noticed a stunning white Ram 2500 (my son's dream choice) in my price range! I worried because the price was now $5000-$7000 below KBB! I met with Lenny again and he allowed me to put a refundable deposit to hold the truck for a few days while I obtained the funds as well as letting me take it to my extremely hard to please mechanic to approve it. This was the first time my mechanic ever said, "buy this vehicle!" and he could not believe the price! My long time bank & insurance company both rejected me for an auto loan. David was able to get me a loan with a good interest rate despite a mediocre credit score. Lenny even sent me a fake email stating that the truck was sold so I could prank my teenager & the surprise worked great! We will definitely be back as my other kids need vehicles.
