I'm not a person who purchases vehicles every few years. I have kept my cars for 8-10 years. So finding a place to purchase a car is a very hard thing to do. I'm a registered nurse working two different I have kept my cars for 8-10 years. So finding a place to purchase a car is a very hard thing to do. I'm a registered nurse working two different jobs, I work hard for my money. I had gone to Swickard because one of their employees recommended them. Your employee confirmed Honda would give me a great value and be treated like a family. But the outcome was not that, on 9/15, I went to see a Honda CRV with high mileage, it was beautiful. I went ahead and started the financial nightmare, during the price negotiation process, I had only two requests to keep my original plates and tags, since they were still valid till 4/22, and a low interest rate (1.99%) which was being advertised. The financial manager told me this would be corrected later once all the paperwork was reviewed. Several hours later, I was told Honda financial was giving me the best rate, which again he stated this will be corrected in a few days. I trusted him and Honda's employee So I left feeling a bit odd about the rate in my newer car. A few weeks later, I was asked to stop to resign the financial contract, and asked again about the rate and was told this will be corrected. So I took time out of my nursing schedule to resign the contract. So 45 days later, I received new tags and my interest rate was 4.79%. My credit rating is good to great, so this interest rate was not good. I tried reaching the financial manager, and of course he no longer works there. Then I was told to contact another financial manager, which I did.. He had nothing to say or offered any assistance other than to find another finance company to get a lower rate, they can no longer help me. He offered to give me two free oil change services, which was already included. Proving this manager did not review my contact or 'their' internal notes on each contract. He had nothing to offer or say once I corrected him about this. So I proceeded to find another finance company, Clackamas Credit Union, who offered a lower rate and great over the phone service. I still had to spend a day refinancing my Honda loan. Even now, I cant believe Honda can't offer to waive the maintenance contract, to at least make sure the vehicle continues to work at peak performance. More
