Horrible, rude, nasty individual who has no morals and has no problem lying to someone. Just a nasty, nasty man. We ended up going to another Honda dealer and had a wonderful experience. Joe was very helpful and knowledgeable. He followed up but was not pushy or obnoxious. My only issue with the whole experience was that I didn't get a full tank of gas. Chris went with us on a test drive and was helpful in explaining various aspects of the car we were interested in. The price we expected to pay was extremely close to the acceptance price. I was pleased with the entire transaction. Chris had all the paperwork and the car ready for pickup at the agreed upon time - two days after we signed the contract. When I walked into the showroom, I was just going to look at the Honda and then buy my third Nissan but Joe did a great job in getting me to really look at what Honda had to offer and he was able to switc at the Honda and then buy my third Nissan but Joe did a great job in getting me to really look at what Honda had to offer and he was able to switch me from a loyal Nissan buyer to now a Honda buyer. Joe stressed how great Hondas are and what I can expect that I never got from Nissan. so far he was right I am very happy with my new car thanks Joe! Danny D'Elia More
It can't be easy to be a car salesman today. The Internet has essentially changed the equation and delivered a far more informed buyer to dealerships everywhere. At the same time, the ease with whi Internet has essentially changed the equation and delivered a far more informed buyer to dealerships everywhere. At the same time, the ease with which one can request multiple quotes has enabled a completely new kind of negotiation process. This has tightened dealer margins and had a significant effect on sales compensation and bonuses. Honda product quality remains outstanding so, that being equal across all dealerships, what drives the sales decision is the service response and most important of all, your first point of contact - your salesperson. Therefore, being listened to and treated with respect matters. Feeling like you're getting a straight, no nonsense fair and decent offer from an honest, knowledgeable sales professional who will stand behind what he says, matters. And knowing his dealership stands behind him and wants to deliver their best as a team is also essential. That said... I requested and got 6 quotes from 6 different dealerships and decided to purchase a new 2013 Honda Civic 4 Dr Sedan from Joe Vizzi at Sussex Honda because Joe and his dealership possessed all the qualities I was looking for in a dealership experience. In short, my purchase experience was quick, informed, enjoyable and, in a word - exceptional! I knew what car I was going to buy and because of my business travel, I had the option to buy it from dealers anywhere along the east coast. But I bought it from Sussex Honda because of Joe Vizzi and his colleagues. It's that simple. He was a gentleman of the first order and his dealership was first rate. I will likely be purchasing two more new Honda products over the next 12 months and now I know where I'll go first. Joe and his colleagues did their best to make the administrative process go smoothly despite my not having having everything with me in perfect order. He also spent significant amounts of time reviewing every aspect of the new car with my daughter, its primary driver, enabling her to fully enjoy the experience of this superior product from the moment we drove it off the lot. And then he introduced us to the entire service department and reviewed a simple and clear process for obtaining routine service. Suffice it to say, we won't be going any place else to get our new car serviced. Bottom line... Mr. Vizzi is a first class professional working for a first rate dealership that produces one of the safest and best cars available today and aside from winning me over, he and sales professional's like him are changing our definition of what a car salesperson could be and should be. Thank you Mr. Vizzi. We just spent a little north of $25,000 (inclusive of taxes and documentation) for a fully loaded new car and thanks to you, this time we truly got our money's worth. A most refreshing and rewarding experience to be sure. Thanks again! More
This dealership stands out. Everyone that I worked with helped to make my car buying experience as pleasant as possible. They even gave me a loaner car for a night, because my previous car had been totaled helped to make my car buying experience as pleasant as possible. I came in because my 2010 Honda Civic lease was about to be up. I loved my Civic and had a great experience with it. No complaints. I wanted to look into leasing again, if possible, for a cheaper monthly payment since now I am in graduate school and renting a house - therefore more expenses. There was no issue with the payments, I was simply looking for something cheaper, so I could save more. I came in the beginning of September to talk to Joe with my options, and since my family has been using Sussex Honda for over 20 years, I thought they could cut me a deal. They couldn't at the time (for what I was looking to pay) and I left - in the hopes of finding a cheaper deal elsewhere, or even a used car with an auto loan. I never actually looked into other dealerships, but I did look at a few used cars and was going to go through with one but I did not get approved for a bank loan on my own. My dad, had a bad couple of years financially, and could not be a co-signer for me, so we had to ask my uncle, who agreed. With all this, he was not willing to do a loan, but willing to sign a lease so that was now my only option. I came back to Honda, with my dad and uncle, after some conversation, and signed a new lease. I am happy with my new car, it's beautiful, but I wish there was more that could have been done on the financial end. I had looked at the deal going on for September, and it was 159 a mo with 1999.99 down. We were only going to put 500 down, so that would have come out to about 200 a month for a 36 month lease. I then understand there are taxes and such, that, was never specifically laid out for me, so I am unsure how much they are in actuality. This could have then ranged the payment anywhere from 235 a mo to 250 a mo (which was my previous payment). Then there was a scratch on my old car that they had to 'completely paint over'. This is what they say, I am not making accusations but simply explaining how I felt through this whole time. I know that you have to re-service the car and such and are 'doing all that you can' but I do wonder if that really is all you can do. After more negotiation my new payment for my new car comes out to 254 a mo. I am not overly happy with this price, but it is what it is. Joe was very nice through this whole process, and sincere, and I appreciated his service. It's just hard as a college student and if there is any way in the future that you can help me, or others out, that would be great! For now, I am sure that this new car will serve me just fine. I am excited about it. More
