We arrived early before the sales force was in for the day. The receptionist made us feel very welcome. Ed Kelly and David Kolstad took care of all our needs and were very patient with us. We live in New York and I must admit I was a little apprehensive about their doing the transfer and registration of our car. I wanted to take the title and bill of sale and care for it myself. David Kolstad and Jay Kaplan assured me everything would be fine. So, I let them care for the transfer and, as promised, everything worked out just fine. I got the temporary NJ tag and the registration came from New York State in plenty of time for me to get the New York Inspection performed in a timely manner. We highly recommend Sussex Honda! More

She was THOROUGH and careful to be sure that I understood what the costs were up front, checking to be sure there were no surprises, and that is so important! They employees also helped me get the car home so I wouldn't have to walk back because I was keeping my old car as a second car. Great service! I also want to mention the gentleman in Finance, I think his name was Pete, who broke everything down to the penny so I could see what was in my monthly payment and why!!! How could I not buy a car from these people? I have already told a family member who may be looking for a car to go to Sussex Honda and see Lauren, and my neighbor is looking to trade her Hyundai, and I gave her Lauren's card. I should have bought my other choice the Grand Cherokee I'm so unhappy with the poor customer service at this dealership. Keep in mind this was a 'Hassle Free' sale. My husband & I new what we wanted and went to the dealership to buy. And we were repeat customers. Never, never, never again will we buy a car at this dealership nor will we recommend them to anyone. We purchased a Honda Pilot and because we are New York residents buying in New Jersey we were issued a temporary registration with an expiration date of 4/22/2014. We paid the dealership $249 for the clerical expense for this process. By 4/19/2014 the permenant registration had not arrived. We called the dealership first thing in the morning on 4/21/2014 & were told there was a glitch with the paperwork (mind you no call prior to this that there was a delay). We were told the registration would be sent out that day (4/21/2014) & we would receive it by 4/22/2014. Came home and there was NO FedEx package waiting. We called the dealership and were told it was sent out & we would receive it on 4/23/2014. Sussex Honda's incompetence became our inconvenience when my husband had to drive me 40 miles + out of his way to my job and then pick me up at the end of the day another 40 miles + out of his way. So imagine my displeasure when we arrived home to discover that NO Fed Ex package was delivered on 4/23/2014. Another call to the dealership and we were offered a tracking number. We will receive the package from Fed Ex 4/24/2014 by 8:00 PM. And YES I'll be hitching a ride with my husband again on 4/24/2014. Tell me Mr / Ms Honda executive would you be happy if your Honda was sitting in your driveway, going nowhere because you didn't receive the registration., or a courtesy phone call " Mr & Mrs Customer there's been a delay in the paperwork, please accept our apology, we'll keep you posted". It is NOT my intention to get anyone fired. I blame Honda for my problem, because they have FAILED to teach their employees customer service and as result have lost a customer. Please note that I delayed sending this review because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Also note, my husband had initially given a favorable review... he should have waited... my advice wait at least 30 days. More
