Avoid Susan Schein Automotive!! My husband and I bought our 16 year old daughter a car from Susan Schein Automotive in Pelham, AL in January 2019. Unfortunately, the car has been in the shop at Susan Schein almost half the time since then. We just picked up the car yet again (for at least the 5th time) from SS late Thursday and, like clockwork, the check engine light came back on YET AGAIN the very next day. The car has been in their service department at least once a month since purchase. Do not buy from this dealership! Absolute worst car buying experience I could imagine. Customer service is atrocious. Save your time, money and frustration and go ANYWHERE ELSE. Seriously. More

She stayed in contact with me and was not pushy or bothersome at all. We made an hour drive to the dealership, test drove the car and worked some numbers, finally worked them out enough to be able to sign on the dotted line! Everything was efficient and the finance part was especially efficient, as the gentlemen throughly and effectively explained everything to us to where we were comfortable and understood. More

After having my car for a week and a half, they finally called and said it was a transmission problem and gave me a price. The warranty company came out and verified the problem and gave them the go ahead to fix the transmission. The transmission was shipped to them about a week later which I was told they didn’t know the transmission had arrived. I received a call on a Tuesday saying my car was on the rack and it would be done that day or the next. I waited until Friday to call and I was told they haven’t started on it yet. Mechanic told me they would work on it over the weekend and that didn’t happen. I waited 4 days and I decided to just show up and just so happen, my car was finally done and I never received a phone call saying it was. It took over a month to get my car back and it was the worst experience of my life. More
