CJ Wanamaker went above and beyond to help me get my Toyota Corolla and made the experience of buying a car for the first time as painless as possible. The entire staff was excellent in helping me assess my trade in and taking care of the financing, making everything easier to understand and I feel I got the best value for my car. Any time I had questions or concerns, there was always a representative there to assist me and they all were incredibly knowledgeable about their products, their services, and the entire process. I was overwhelmed at first, but they took care of me like I was family! Definitely go to Supreme Toyota of Hammond - they are awesome! More

Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially our salesman, Josh Nolan, and the finance officer, Kyle. The service guys, Jimmy and others in that department are very pleasant as well. There are usually a couple of glitches in purchasing a new vehicle, but these guys (and the nice lady at the receptionist desk) made the experience a pleasant one. More
Shade, Shade, Shade on you! In early to mid-December, I saw a 2008 Solstice on their website and decided to make the 45 minute drive from my small town to theirs, with my husband In early to mid-December, I saw a 2008 Solstice on their website and decided to make the 45 minute drive from my small town to theirs, with my husband, so that I could check it out. After kicking the tires, cruising down the I-55 for a test run, I decided to make an offer. We agreed on a four figure price and started the credit application process. I had a $4000.00 down payment in hand, and intended to finance the remainder. (You can do the math.) The salesman, disappeared into the glass enclosed cubicles where all the magic happens and for several tensely patient minutes I waited for word. As this jaunt into Toyota-Land wasn’t the only item on our day’s agenda we had to leave to get my husband to an event nearby. After searching high and low, I found my salesman and told him so. Practically from his knees, he begged me to wait a few more minutes, promising that someone would get me to where I needed to be if my husband would only leave me there to wait out the decision of the lenders. This option was not acceptable so my husband and I left without getting a final answer as to credit approval. Less than ten minutes later, while en route to our next destination, my phone rang. The salesman said that a deal was struck with a lender and that I would be pleased with the terms, and that if I’d return to the Morrison Road location after dropping my husband off that a deal could be struck and signed. Well, finally, I thought. I got back to the Supreme Toyota location early afternoon and my salesman took me straight to the finance clerk to go over the terms. I’d been approved, with a double digit interest rate, and a monthly payment just under $300.00, however, if I’d accept a recommended bumper to bumper warranty, my payments would only increase by a mere $12.00. After my initial elation at approval wore off, I texted my husband with the figures of the deal and a photo of the buyer’s order. Moments after the photo flew across time and space via the wonders of SMS messaging, my phone rang out with a “hold up, wait a minute the numbers don’t add up alert” from my husband. It turned out that, I was being charged another four figure number for an unsolicited warranty; then three more figures, (over a monthly payment’s worth,) for a key replacement fee; then another monthly payment’s worth and then some for an item called KeyGuard that would supposedly protect my vehicle from theft and was included in each and every deal and vehicle sold at Supreme’s Dealership, absolutely, positively, no exceptions. While unhappy that my Solstice driving days were over before they began I followed the advice from my wiser, un-emotional half and left the dealership, with $4000.00 still in hand, and driving the same borrowed hooptie in which I’d arrived. The next morning, I got a text message from my salesman, asking if I was sure I wanted to pass on what was likely the only approval offer any lender on the planet would give me. I asked about a re-fi option he’d mentioned the day before and was assured it was 100% available, as long as I made my payments on time for a year. I admit, I thought about, but no, I replied that I was sure, and thanked him for his assistance. Hours later, I got another message from the young salesman telling me that a man was on his way with cash to buy the cute red Solstice that I was already approved to purchase with my double digit interest rate and the now required $2000.00 bumper to bumper warranty. The very next morning another text message arrived from young Mr. Salesman asking again, if I’d changed my mind yet. I replied, courteously, that I had not and thanked him for his time. I moved on. The week after Christmas I went back to Supreme’s website to find, you guessed it, the Solstice was still listed in their inventory. I decided to poke around a bit and sent my salesman a text asking if the man with the CASH in HAND had dropped out of the picture. No, I was told, he hadn’t but was planning to come in before the 31st and that my offer of the 18th was still good, if only I’d accept it. Since all this began, I used the handy dandy internet to check a few facts and figures of my own and discovered that the likelihood of a lender requiring the four figure warranty, the key guard, the key replacement fees, etc… was not only shady, at best, but predatory and unlawful in some circumstances. I told young Mr. Salesman this and even mentioned the fact that both the sales and finance managers were mentioned, by name, on several poorly rated, on-line consumer reviews. Well, suffice it to say, that I do not have a 2008 Solstice in my driveway and Supreme Toyota of Hammond has one more bad on-line review. More
Nightmare. Most dishonest deceitful impolite people I have ever encountered. Sets a new low for car salesman. Bo Gray (manager) is one of the worst. Darrel (fina Most dishonest deceitful impolite people I have ever encountered. Sets a new low for car salesman. Bo Gray (manager) is one of the worst. Darrel (finance guy) will sit right infront of you and lie to your face about how the interest rate is higher right now, but by financing through Toyota motor financial, you can refinance in 1 year with a guaranteed lower rate... Come to find out, Toyota Financial does not offer refinancing! Bought a certified pre owned truck from them. Got on the interstate to drive it home, dangerously pulling to the right. Brought it back, they said it really wasn't their problem but they'd do a courtesy alignment. Waited 3 hours. Truck still pulling just as bad to the right and now the steering wheel is cocked to the left. Called them again. Said it's not their problem, I bought a used vehicle. On top of that, they used the wrong address when submitting my registration causing my taxes to be higher. They will not release my registration until I pay them $324 for their mistake. Team Toyota in Baton Rouge is now in the process of evaluating my truck to see what the issue with it pulling to the right is. They said it's absolutely covered as a certified used vehicle it must track and drive straight on an even surface! Very nice and helpful service department at Team Toyota. Quite the opposite at Supreme Toyota. Also, when I asked them to see the carfax, they faxed a year older model wrong truck! They clearly don't have their sh** together. Bo Gray is extremely rude and next to impossible to deal with. I will be contacting our family attorney regarding the $324 taxes they expect me to pay for their mistake as well! More
Usually, I find dealing with car dealerships about as pleasurable as a root canal. My experience with Supreme Toyota was entirely different. The internet sales representative, Amy, and I negotiated the pleasurable as a root canal. My experience with Supreme Toyota was entirely different. The internet sales representative, Amy, and I negotiated the price of our new Avalon by email, in a respectful and constructive way, over a two day period. At the dealership to pick up the car, we found Amy to be very friendly (not to mention charming) and helpful in every way. A floor rep was assigned to help acquaint us with the car, and we found Terry to be just as friendly and helpful. Because of the holiday period (Thanksgiving) we experienced some problems in establishing our insurance coverage for the new car. Amy and Terry spent together something like an hour and went beyond the call of duty to help us resolve this with our insurance company. Yes, I recommend them. More
