I purchased a 2014 Passat and had a great buying experience. Sean Riches was very professional, courteous, friendly, honest and upfront. Recently my husband and I were in the St. Louis area on other business. On a whim we decided to go look at what new cars were out there, perhaps looking at Volkswagons as well as a few other brands. We came in on a Saturday later in the afternoon looking for a used car. We didn't have a brand in mind, but were looking more for low mileage and a decent price. It was fairly cold outside, but Steve came out to us right away to ask if we needed help. We were taken inside, offered hot beverages and then asked what we were looking for. Steve came up with several options to view based on our needs and was also nice enough to look up some options we had found online, even though they were at different Suntrup dealerships. He was very helpful with our questions, very honest about what they could do for us - from what I understand he is relatively new to car sales, but my husband and I thought that he was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. We were worried about buying a used car, neither of us ever had, but we trusted Steve right away and bought a car from him the same day. We feel like if there are any problems or issues, we have someone to go to who will do their best to make it right for us. We would definitely recommend Steve and Suntrup if you are looking for a used car. More

If there were a score higher than a "5", after dealing with Adam I would have given him a higher score. I asked my local dealer to find me a new or very low mileage Beetle TDI 6 speed and all I he dealing with Adam I would have given him a higher score. I asked my local dealer to find me a new or very low mileage Beetle TDI 6 speed and all I heard back was the sound of crickets. I got on the internet and found Suntrup VW. I checked their inventory and found just what I was looking for, a left over 2013 Silver Beetle. I filled out the "ask a question" and within 5 minutes Adam called me and answered all the questions. Now I know that this is not a normal sale, as I had a 2012 Jetta that I wanted to trade in for the Beetle, and I was about 220 miles from St. Louis and trying to make a deal over the phone. Adam went to bat for me and in about 2 hours and 3 or 4 phone calls we had a deal. Not only did we make a deal but he agreed to meet me in Rolla, MO and make the car switch. After meeting him and going over the paperwork, I don't believe that it could have gone any better because of Adam Goldfeder. Suntrup and Adam Goldfeder are better than a "5". More

I started looking for a car in October, when I had a month left on my then-current Nissan Altima lease. I contacted Suntrup VW (among other local dealerships) through their website and was contacted by month left on my then-current Nissan Altima lease. I contacted Suntrup VW (among other local dealerships) through their website and was contacted by Sean Riches shortly after my inquiry. A day later he sent a email with a video introducing himself to put a "face to the name" and to set up an appointment. On my first visit Sean analyzed my wants & needs in a new car (from performance, exterior/interior color, trim, gas mileage, etc.) and what I could realistically afford. He narrowed the results down and we test drove two cars (Jetta SE & Jetta GLI). We test drove both cars and then talked numbers. I had no intention on purchasing a new car on my first visit, however if the numbers worked I was open to the option. We went back and forth a couple of times and after a failed attempt by the manager to explain certain costs and fees I went home in my Altima. I was not impressed by the manager - he did not formally introduce himself as the manager or give me his name, he just entered the conversation talking about a it being a good car and a good deal, then dodged answering some of my questions. Over the next few weeks Sean kept in touch via email and text, but was never once bothersome. The Monday of the last week in November Sean contacted me again and suggested I come in to try and work out the deal. When I arrived he had the Jetta GLI out front waiting for me to test drive a second time. After the test drive we talked numbers & the offer was significantly lower than the initial offer a few weeks before. We continued the negotiation process and Sean worked for me to arrive at the desired price & terms. While the financing staff was preparing the paperwork, Sean showed me how the vehicle works (stereo, lights, seats, heat/ac, set up blue tooth for me, etc.), schedule a 1 month check up, and had the service dept. prepare the car for me to take it home. Since it was the end of the month, everyone from top to bottom was busy and the car was not quite ready, so I decided to come back that evening to pick the car up. When I arrived that night around 8pm, Sean had gone home for the night but another sales rep. gave me the keys and offered to show me how to operate everything on the car. I notified him that Sean had gone through all of that with me, but I am impressed that a sales rep who did not even sell the car ( or receive the commission) was willing to explain the car's functions to me. The next day I noticed that the car still had some of the original wrapping glue on the lights and in the trunk and notified Sean. He said I could bring the car back to the dealership to get it taken care of, but I told him we would have it done at the 1 month check up instead. A day later I received a call from the financing dept. and was notified that the paperwork was not done correctly and that I needed to come back in to resign some things. Since it was the holidays, the Suntrup VW financing manager was on vacation, and we had to do the paperwork through Suntrup Nissan (which is next door and the same dealership where I leased the Altima). When I came in to sign the papers, the financing manager was not in his office and I had to wait 15 minutes until another financing manager was available. It took less than a minute to sign and receive the new paperwork. I had my 1 month check up last week and the service dept. cleaned up the plastic wrapping in the trunk and on the lights. I have been using them for the previous 3 years on the Altima and was already familiar with their timely and friendly service. Overall, it was a great experience. Sean was a superior sales rep, exhibiting great & personable customer service. He knew the product he was selling and how to deal with a thorough customer. He has been there to answer any questions during and after the negotiation process and has been happy to assist me post-sale. I did have a few issues during the process (plastic on lights & in trunk, having to return to re-sign paperwork, & the manager not as formal as I would have expected), however Sean's exceptional customer service is what stands out most. I'll gladly refer anyone in the market for a new car to Sean, knowing that they will be dealt with appropriately and respectfully. More
