High Pressure Sales My experience at Suntrup Volkswagen was disappointing, at best. Every time I dealt with my sales person (Adam), I was pressured hard in attempt to My experience at Suntrup Volkswagen was disappointing, at best. Every time I dealt with my sales person (Adam), I was pressured hard in attempt to close the deal the day I was in the sales office. Attempting to get a trade-in price and a final price for the vehicle I wanted was nearly impossible. I even left my car on site with the dealer for a couple hours, only to be told they were unable to evaluate it because someone was in a meeting the entire time. Getting my keys back to my personal car took multiple request, and I had to change the tone in my voice for them to give them back. When asked what the price would be on a specific vehicle I was told to look online. They refused to give me a price on anything unless I was willing to give them my social security number so they could run a credit check. This is not something I would be comfortable giving out until I was in the process of actually buying the vehicle. I know my credit score and am able to keep it at what it is because I do not surrender the number unless absolutely needed. No other dealer I have dealt with has needed my social security number when attempting to quote me a vehicle. Every dealer I have worked with outside of Suntrup VW has never asked for this until I have agreed on a price and we are just finalizing the deal. The Suntrup VW website also offered a 25$ Visa card for coming in and test driving. Both times I requested this item with the needed code I was told the person who handles that is not available and I would have to return another time. My multiple visits to Suntrup VW might go down as the worst experience I have ever personally had at a car dealership. The high pressure sales, sneaky techniques, and deflection of responsibility is frightening. I would not recommend this dealership to my friends, family, or enemies. --- After writing this review, Suntrup VW reached out to me. Talking through my issues with the representative of Suntrup has allowed me some adjustments in my review score. The above text has remained unchanged. I think everyone can agree that one bad experience does not define an entire company, and I believe that too. I will be willing to give them another chance in the future, specifically Adela Alispahic who understood my concerns. More
