For our most recent purchase Wilcox Yorama was fantastic, he treated us both with respect and listened to what we wanted and did not try to oversell us anything we did not want. I arrived about 15 minutes late and was worried that this would cause a problem with my appointment and the appointment of others. I drove 2 hours for my appointment and really would have not wanted to have to reschedule. The service department reassured my, got my car in and completed in no time. More

We bought a vehicle that was under a Safety recall and they knew it, but did not tell us until af We had a terrible experience at Suntrup with Kenan. We bought a vehicle that was under a Safety recall and they knew it, but did not tell us until after the sale. My wife and Kids were in this car for around 2 weeks when service told us it was not safe to drive and the car should have never been sold to us. We were lied to and treated terribly by Kenan and Beau. Kenan even showed up at my workplace and threatened me after all this happened, but i'm sure he was just doing what Beau told him to do. Luckily the service department is very honest there and told us everything. I will never buy anything from Suntrup and I tell everyone i can about my horrible experience. More

They actually didn't have the exact vehicle we wanted in stock, but they partnered with another dealership and had it delivered to our house 100 miles away from their dealership with no issues whatsoever. I was going to purchase a new SUV from them til they flat out lied about a vehicle being available. I have been around the car business my whole life and let them know that up front and they still tried to play games....do yourself a favor and go to St.Peters, MO to get your VW. More
A Thoroughly Disappointing Experience: Purchase to 3 Months I purchased a pre-certified Jetta from the Pre-owned vehicles group at the end of October. To start, I was told the vehicle had cruise control (it di I purchased a pre-certified Jetta from the Pre-owned vehicles group at the end of October. To start, I was told the vehicle had cruise control (it did not). As winter set in, I noticed that the heated air conditioning did not seem to work. Then, mid-December, the engine began making strange noises and I took it to another local dealership. This dealership discovered problems with the ignition coil, heating coil, and spark plugs, all of which were replaced. I was charged for the spark plugs as they were not under the pre-certified warranty. Then a couple of weeks later, the battery gave out, requiring another trip to the other dealership, who said the battery was the same one the car started with when brand new (nearly 4 years old at that point). I also had to pay for that. Finally, a few days ago, both of my low-power headlights gave out. I tried talking to the service department at Suntrup and was met with excuses and obstinacy. Even after demonstrating, with pictures from the other dealership, that the spark plugs had not been replaced, Suntrup insisted it had replaced them. I asked to be reimbursed for all these issues appearing just 3 months after purchase and they said no. So I contacted VW corporate. At the end, VW corporate said there was nothing they could do and were very apologetic. I have a few concluding points: 1) Stay away from Suntrup Pre-Owned Sales or at minimum question all the promises they give you. 2) Be aware that the service department has poor customer service and may have issues within their services department (say they did repairs but did not actually do those repairs). I talked to both Mason and Elliot Silk about these issues, nether person being sympathetic or helpful. 3) Note that Pre-certified is not a guarantee of quality. Batteries that are old and should be proactively replaced are left in if they test ok at the time. Several types of repairs are not covered (including spark plugs, batteries, and headlights) despite the dealerships not doing a thorough job of vetting these parts. 4) Finally, VW will not override a poorly run dealership even if their image is hurt by said dealership. I know that I will never return to Suntrup and may be hard-pressed to stick with Volkswagen (this being my first car with them to boot). More

I've been purchasing my own vehicles for many years, and usually do a lot of research before buying, and so many times I have known more than the person trying to "sell" me a vehicle or have had to listen to them use my name 50 times because they learned a "new sales technique", or they talk to my husband instead of me, even though I've been the one talking to them. I had a good experience buying a used vehicle from Suntrup years ago, so knowing that my vehicle needed to be replaced, I wanted to check out the Volkswagens. Madeline blew me away with her knowledge! I first leased the Atlas and have now bought out my lease. We took our Atlas on vacation shortly after we purchased it. My two teenagers love it. Several hundred miles away, another vacationing family asked me about my Atlas. While talking to them, they asked me if I worked for a dealership-I said "No, I just had an amazingly knowledgeable salesperson!" More
