I had the opportunity to deal with David Riemer on 8/25/10 regarding an issue with my car. This is not the first time I have dealt with David as I specifically asked for him to help me. David is the 8/25/10 regarding an issue with my car. This is not the first time I have dealt with David as I specifically asked for him to help me. David is the consumate Professional. I have always been extremely impressed with David's Customer Service, Friendliness and in taking the time to explain what was wrong with my car and how to deal with another situation which I did not understand. David is the epitome of "Excellent Customer Service" beyond the norm. As I said earlier, he is the "Consumate Professional". Suntrup should make it a point to reward this type of service as it is the main reason I will always continue to have my service done at Suntrup. More
I haven't purchased a car in over 10 years, so I wasnt looking forward to it. The internet made it a lot easier though. I emailed Beau at Suntrup VW and I was lucky I got him. He was informative, responsi looking forward to it. The internet made it a lot easier though. I emailed Beau at Suntrup VW and I was lucky I got him. He was informative, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire sale. Never did I feel pressured in the 2 weeks it took me to pull the trigger on a new Jetta. If all salesman could be more like this, then car dealers would not have a bad reputation. More
Once in awhile you get a surprise in life and that happened to me at Suntrup in St louis. I knew I wanted to get the new Jetta TDI but heard they were asking over sticker because of their demand. I ap happened to me at Suntrup in St louis. I knew I wanted to get the new Jetta TDI but heard they were asking over sticker because of their demand. I appreciated this as I know how economics works, but still did not want to pay that. Call it principal. Anyway, from the time I arrived at the dealer with a friendly "welcome to Suntrup" to when I pulled away in my new Jetta TDI that I got for just a few hundred over cost, I was soooo surprised at how easy to deal with these guys were. If you want a pleasant surprise..try out the guys at Suntrup VW. I dealt with Brian Fiddlemann. More

I came in to Suntrup VW looking for a "bug" to purchase and finish my early adult dream of having another bug. I first drove one on the autobohn in Germany learning on a stick. It was a white or cream colo and finish my early adult dream of having another bug. I first drove one on the autobohn in Germany learning on a stick. It was a white or cream colored having a blast cause every then drove a Mercedes. Even the taxi cab drivers had Mercedes. Thirty eight years later I wanted another one. Well the dream came true when I met Anthony Shaw. Then the next day to come back and settle with him, he was out sick and met Brian Fiddleman. I am sure Brian worked very hard to help me get my great car, however it was Anthony who found the color on the interior and exterior. Brian on the other hand told my daughter that she would receive a referral fee of $100. He said it would come after all the paper work was done(like end of month). So she waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile I had two seperate issues for the service department which was handle fairly quickly, and I saw Brian and said he had three names on his desk, one of which was my daughter. He was making a call then. I assumed he would come look for me in the waiting room. He did not. So we waited another few weeks and I called. The check was never written. He let me know that it comes out of the deal, which at this point was several months later. I called one last time, and to my surprise, was very mouthy and ignorant to me. "all this fricking" stuff over $100? I said yes, it was now the point not the money. He said maybe he wouldnt send it and I said I was sorry I bought my car there and he said he was sorry I came in as a customer too. So as of this date,8/21/10 the $100 never came to my daughter, and I am 56 years old and didnt did that conversation from a car salesman. I was taught that the customer was always right. I was in customer service almost 30 years. I may of thought bad after I hung up the phone but never to a client on the other end. I felt as if Brian was telling fib after fib and couldnt remember what he told us each time I called. Was a different excuse each phone call. So if he had no intention of doing it, why tell her that? Like I said it now became the point not the money.. My daughter had said to him that she did purchase a Nissian several years before just not him as a salesman and he told her that was ok. That didnt matter, that he would see to it she got the fee. So my overall experience dropped because of your wonderful salesperson, Brian. I only hope that the commission went to Anthony or atleast half of it because he was the one who really clinched the deal. More
This is my 2nd review but this one is for the salesman, Anthony Shaw. I started out with him, he got sick and another salesman got involved. I had a very bad experience with him(2nd salesman) and is on ano Anthony Shaw. I started out with him, he got sick and another salesman got involved. I had a very bad experience with him(2nd salesman) and is on another review. This is to advised anyone who goes into Suntrup VW/Nissian in South County to ask for Anthony Shaw.He knows cars, knows the business and will work for you, the customer. He made a 38 year dream come true to own another VW bug and worked very hard to get the color of the interior and exterior I requested. Thanks to Suntrup for having people like Anthony make Suntrup a reputable dealership. More
Dan Turner was great to work with. Finance worked hard to get best rate for my vehicle and credit. Very happy with bottom line price. 3 other dealers, West County, Bommarito, and St. Charles Nissan could not get best rate for my vehicle and credit. The salesman offered a $540 "deal" to have a stereo installed by a third party. I got a $90 radio and $40 speakers. The radio is very basic and the speakers are less than average. This is nowhere near a $540 value. DO NOT TAKE THIS OPTION. Save your money and go to Best Buy or ANY other stereo installer. The manager insisted that since I got $5000 over Bluebook for my car he would not be able to work with me. While this is true, the price of the car was determined BEFORE I was offered this deal on the radio. You will not be able to get a refund. This is a poor sales option that Suntrup should discontinue. It is misleading and frustrating to know that I am stuck with this low quality system. More

My experience with Suntrup Nissan and Aaron Young was not a positive one. I had been looking at a new car for over a year, waiting for the right car and the right time. I thought the Cube might be it. I s a positive one. I had been looking at a new car for over a year, waiting for the right car and the right time. I thought the Cube might be it. I submitted a finance request online and waited for a call. When it didn't come, I called the dealer and Aaron took my call. He found my request and pulled it out of the system and let me know we were good to go. I explained what I was looking for and that I planned to visit that afternoon. When I was delayed, I called the dealership with a message for Aaron that I was on my way and would be there within an hour. When I arrived, Aaron had done nothing to prepare for my visit. There were only three cubes on the lot, two in an upper field and the third Aaron wasn't sure of the location. When we left the showroom to view the cars, Aaron took off at a fast clip (he's 6' or over and I barely reach 5') and called over his shoulder, "don't worry if you can't keep up!" Where was the personal attention? Was he not interested in those little things about me that would indicate the perfect car for me? We had to climb some concrete stairs to see the two in the upper field, both cars very similar even being the same color. I stopped for a moment to look at the sticker and when I turned around Aaron was gone. My friend and I just stood in the middle of the lot not knowing what to do and where to go. He apparently had gone off to try to find the third car but couldn't. We commented that we weren't interested in the pin striping and clear coats that had been applied, and charged for, on the two models we saw. He told us that those options were applied to every car that came in and we had no choice in paying for them. As we stood in the heat at the top of the outdoor stairs, I asked about a test drive. He said sure and went off to get the keys without offering us a cool place to be while he got the car. At this point, I was angry and felt as though because I was looking for a car on the lower price end, I wasn't worth his time. I went into one of the show rooms and asked to speak to a manager. I was told there were several "in there" with a finger point to one of the cubicles. No one seemed concerned that I was angry and dissatisfied. I talked to a manager and told him I was angry and why. When I finished he told me he wasn't the Nissan manager, but he did sell volkswagons and would be happy to put me in a volkswagon. What should have happened is the VW manager should have gone to get me the Nissan manager, given me his card if he liked, and someone there should have cared that I walked on their lot ready to buy and was now ready to leave extremely unhappy -- which I subsequently did. Aaron should have had the three cars he had on the lot pulled down by the showrooms for us so we could look without having to tramp around the upper lot in the heat. He had hours to prepare for our visit but did nothing and so got nothing. I will not recommend Suntrup Nissan nor consider buying from them in the future. A little customer service training is in order from management on down in my view. More
