I bought my Jetta from these guys about 9 years ago. I had to take the car back to them to have it serviced. At that time I had a high end stereo system in the car, no decals, rims etc. There was no way had to take the car back to them to have it serviced. At that time I had a high end stereo system in the car, no decals, rims etc. There was no way in looking at the car that you could tell it had a stereo system in it. Well, several days later I get a call from the St. Louis Police Dept telling me my car had been broken in to. This was a total inside job and I didn't get one bit of sympathy from the dealership. The vandals had cut themselves on the glass and bled all over the interior of the car, windows busted out etc. More
Our visit to suntrup VW epitomises everything that is wrong with buying a new car. High pressure sales techniques, dishonest and deceptive employees and cars overprices with a lot of unwanted expensive wrong with buying a new car. High pressure sales techniques, dishonest and deceptive employees and cars overprices with a lot of unwanted expensive "extras". After the first guy couldnt do anyhing for us, we were handed over to the "floor manager". After a number of revised offers, I showed him some research I had done from the kbb site, and he told us that the kbb price was completely unrealistic. Then when I mentioned going to a competitor, he went away to speak to his boss and came back with yet another new offer. We told him what other cars were were considering and he bad mouthed them. At the end we wouldnt have bought a car from them no matter how good the offer. A thoroughtly unpleasant experience. More
