What a pleasurable experience to deal with Suntrup. Suntrup was able to get me the car I wanted at the best price. The Suntrup Sales Dept. was friendly, courteous, and professional. The Sales staff was Suntrup was able to get me the car I wanted at the best price. The Suntrup Sales Dept. was friendly, courteous, and professional. The Sales staff was up-front with all of our dealings; no lies, misconceptions, or decieving tactics that I had experienced with other dealerships. In addition to the Sales Department, the Service Department has been very helpful in obtaining timely servicing with a friendly attitude. Their quality of workmanship and their attention to detail has been excellent. More

A++ All together a great experience. The sales person was knowledgeable and personable. After getting the run around from several other dealers with the typical "smoke and mirrors", I went in expecting the s knowledgeable and personable. After getting the run around from several other dealers with the typical "smoke and mirrors", I went in expecting the same thing. The whole team at Suntrup was wonderful, I didn't think a car dealership with their quality of customer care and respect existed. I would urge anyone to not waste their time with the other VW dealers, you'll only leave aggravated with the typical stereo type of the "car salesman" reconfirmed. Ill be sending my all of my friends and family to them. Not to mention my TDi Jetta is incredible! More

As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable, unlike many other dealers we went and saw today. From the moment I walked in the door I was Kindly greeted by a salesman and very quickly after that i was looking at what was soon to be my new TDI. Anthony, my salesman knew alot about the product and was alot of help in my new car purchuse decision. I couldnt believe that they offer a LIFETIME powerterain warranty!! Everyone on the staff looked very professional and was more than friendly with my two children, they even occupied them with a balloon and a little colloring book. My time was spent very well there, everything was very easy,no hoo ha, professional and quick. It was nice not having to make buying a car an all day event. We were out of there in no time with our shiny new car. I recommend everyone to check suntrup out they saved me alot of time and money!! More
Had a great experience at Suntrup VW. I went to two other dealers in St. Louis and they were not near as professional and could not match Suntrup's price. Not to mention, they were very fun to work with and dealers in St. Louis and they were not near as professional and could not match Suntrup's price. Not to mention, they were very fun to work with and very efficient. I will recommend to all my friends, family and co-workers. More
Suntrup VW has been, by far, the worst service center with which I have ever dealt. I bouth a new Jetta in fall of 2005 and experienced continual problems. Their service center would continually tell m with which I have ever dealt. I bouth a new Jetta in fall of 2005 and experienced continual problems. Their service center would continually tell me that the grinding, metal-on-metal sound I heard (within the first 15,000 miles) was my imagination. After my FOURTH trip in for inspection, I finally got a summer mechanic intern who determined that my original rotor was faulty and my rear brake pads had been completely worn through. I was not offered any compensation for my troubles, multiple hours spent waiting at the service center, etc. and actually had to fight for over 30 minutes to get my rental car paid for when they finally admitted there was something wrong and it would take 2 days to fix and I told them it was not reasonable to expect me to be without a car for this long after I had already brought it in four times prior. I got my oil changed at their service center four times - all with appointments - and decided to settle with a Jiffy Lube when my average wait (again, I always had an appointment) would be over 2 hours. I never once received an apology for the wait while I was there; however they were RELIGIOUS about calling me the day after my maintenance to make sure that if the "national VW survey database" calls or emails regarding my experience, I make sure to give them a good rating. Huh?!? They DO do a phenomenal job of sending you coupons in the mail for your next oil change. . .ones that are only good for 1 month and are sent immediately after your last visit at which you just got your oil changed. Perhaps it's not that they are trying to make themselves look good. Perhaps they really DO think I drive 5000 miles in 30 days. I mean, based on everything stated above, shouldn't we give them the benefit of the doubt? Regardless, I would discourage anyone from buying from Suntrup Volkswagen. I have had so many other issues with my car that my mom has told me to stick it outside their lot and cover it with lemons. I am sad, however, as I have had four cars prior to the Jetta and have had phenomenal quality (car) and service (people). . .it's too bad I'm stuck with this one for a couple more years. Thankfully (well, not really), my warranty has expired so I no longer have to deal with Suntrup Volkswagen. More
Stay as far away from that Dealership as You can . They Lie and they cheat. Bought what I thought was a brand new Car .I signed all the Papers including the Odometer reading which was 55 miles, i thought Lie and they cheat. Bought what I thought was a brand new Car .I signed all the Papers including the Odometer reading which was 55 miles, i thought that was kind of high. I had the car delivered since I did not trade my old one in . When the Salesman delivered it I got into This car for the first Time and noticed it had 1445 miles on odometer , the Salesman's answer was oh i thought you knew that. So I bought a Demo for the price of a new Car and than some. More
Charged for coolant flush that was not performed, looked at the receipt and found that no materials for performing coolant flush were on the receipt, the service technician who worked on my car confirmed t at the receipt and found that no materials for performing coolant flush were on the receipt, the service technician who worked on my car confirmed that service was not performed, they finally refunded money for work that was not performed after 2 weeks. Have reason to believe CV boots for the car were clipped using a clipper. Will never go back there. More
I worked directly with the Sales Manager on our Passat purchase and must say it was a breath of fresh air. They were honest, upfront and made it fun to buy a new car. My daughter bought a 2006 Jetta that developed a major oil leak after 13 mos. I brought the car in to Suntrup VW service on a Tuesday night and they hadn't looked at it by Friday. On Friday, they told m oil leak after 13 mos. I brought the car in to Suntrup VW service on a Tuesday night and they hadn't looked at it by Friday. On Friday, they told me that they wouldn't be able to look at it for another week and to pick it up. I told them to keep the car and demanded a rental car. They told me to come down and pick up the rental car, but when I got down there (45 mins away), they put my car up on the rack and found the source of the leak (or so I thought). They said that it would be okay to drive the car while they ordered parts. I did (foolish me). Long story short, it's been five weeks and twice a week trips to the dealership and they have still not fixed my car. They have now replaced an oil filter flange, a thermostat and a cellenoid. I have to constantly fight for a rental car. They lie to me each time I go down there. Don't buy a car from Suntrup VW and don't bring your car there for service. More
