Check Engine light I bought a 2004 Chevy Avalanche from the South County Kia Dealership (Suntrup) Shorty after buying it I had the engine light come on. On the 1st visit I bought a 2004 Chevy Avalanche from the South County Kia Dealership (Suntrup) Shorty after buying it I had the engine light come on. On the 1st visit they said it was a false alarm and they reset the system (Note it was under warranty then). Then shorty after that the light came on again and they replaced a switch (Something to do with the emissions system, also under warranty) But that didn't fix the problem, a week later guess what the engine light came on again and It was out of warranty and they said it was a different emissions issue and it cost me $500.00 bucks to fix it ( I believe it was the same issue from the very 1st time I brought it up there) . Now the light is on again and I have an appointment for 8am tomorrow. Wonder how much money they will try and get out of me tomorrow ? ! They are friendly and have a smile as they take your money! My Took our 2013 optima in for regular maintenance and as usual was a great experience. Oil change and tire rotation was finished in about an hour. My husband said Renea was awesome and really appreciated how respectful she was. He asked a few questions about brakes and tires and was given a detailed explanation as to when they would need replaced. Thanks for great service Kia! More
Well Hello Renea guess who BYINGTON Ok how this place has 4.7 stars blows my mind. It surely isn't for service this place can't even fix a simple oil pan gasket leak on a 2014 kia optima with les than 30000 on it. Been in there shop multiple times the shop manager don't even have the common sense to wait for the silicone are gasket maker to fully cure before they give it back. All he had to say to me was well we will be here to fix it next time it comes in REALLY KIA give me a break don't you think 3 times is enough. With no help from the service manager Renea decided to take the car to another dealer where hopefully they have some real mechanics other than the shade tree ones at SUNTRUP!!! Thanks for the xxxx hassle never again!! More
Sloooooowwwww service is just the beginning. From a sales standpoint Nick Pashos is excellent. I would still be dealing with him if he was with another dealer. I bought 5 vehicles from Suntrup K From a sales standpoint Nick Pashos is excellent. I would still be dealing with him if he was with another dealer. I bought 5 vehicles from Suntrup Kia South between 2007 and 2014. Every one of them was serviced at their service center. Because of the lifetime warranty provided with the purchases of the Pre-Owned vehicles I was forced to have service done there to ensure the validity of the warranty. I was fine with this at first because the prices are very fair and made even more so with their coupons. However, after moving to their current location something changed in the service department. The personnel changed and so did the expediency with which I was accustomed. I used to be able to get an oil change and tire rotation completed as a "waiting" customer in under an hour. Those days were gone. I would be there on average for at least an hour and a half for just a simple oil change. God forbid I need anything else done. Second there were several times I would bring in a particular vehicle I bought from them (2011 Kia Soul) it needed something done other than what I brought it in for. A starter replaced, AC lines replaced (yeah, A/C lines, twice!!), various plug wires that just weren't "holding up" etc. When we would question it or present a coupon we were treated as second class citizens or at least a major inconvenience. This surprised me because after all we were buying Kia's. It's not like we were having a BMW 7 series serviced or anything. We were obviously on a budget. My sales person respected this why didn't the service department? There was one instance when my wife brought the car in for an oil change and when the service specialist told her we were going to need brakes she said she was going to call me about it and ask about my advice (because we had only had it for 6 months at the time). She was told that she needed to make a decision quickly because there were "other" people waiting. Finally when it came time to trade in the aforementioned Kia Soul I was offered $1500 to trade it in which was far below the value at the time. I was told the service department reported hail damage on the vehicle upon their trade in evaluation. I disputed this to no avail and that was it for me. Five years of service on the vehicle at that location. Five vehicles purchased from that location in seven years time. Each and every vehicle serviced there. I made my mind up for better or worse I would take it to Mungenast Honda across the street and trade it in on a certified Honda. Lo and behold they gave me $3500 for a trade in value, never mentioned hail damage and an oil change takes 1/2 hour. What a difference a dealer makes. I wished that Nick had worked for a different dealer because I had purchased 2 other vehicles since this experience (January 2017). He always respected my budget requirements even when I made it difficult. It's a shame my service wasn't met with the same professionalism as the 5 vehicle purchased with Nick Pashos as my sales person. More

I have found their service dept. to be honest, capable, and concerned about my vehicle as my personal property while they are servicing it. I can't say this for other dealers I have delt with. At this point, two of my four cars are Kia's and when I get ready to purchase new again, I will be selecting Suntrup West County as my first choice to purchase because of their service depart. More
Car Wash Service Works Against the Consumer I've been a 2 time buyer from Kia. The car washes for both our cars keeps us coming back and buying. However, the "manager" in charge of the car wash I've been a 2 time buyer from Kia. The car washes for both our cars keeps us coming back and buying. However, the "manager" in charge of the car wash service at your new location has repeatedly been rude and unprofessional. He clearly does not want to help me Everytime and Anytime I come. He tells me the wait will be extreme , not to warn me , but to influence me to go away. Last time he left my car running , with the antenna on top of my car and didn't come to the waiting room to get me. Once a half hour went by I stepped out saw him on his phone and my car as described. Today he did the same thing , didn't say hi, told me it would be OVER 30 minutes bc his porters were busy with other cars (that didn't even have plates on them). His exact words were "you sure you wanna stay". I asked him to open the garage door and left. This is a back to back occurrence with ONLY this 1 employee. I have kept my mouth shut for weeks but today there were over 6 other employees standing around watching him do this to me again and I cannot hold back anymore. Why should I be punished for this? And now that I have made a claim is he going to be vengeful to my car? I have been getting my car washes for over 2 years and have never experienced this. I always tip my porters and am courteous. Now what? More

He asked if we were interested in a different vehicle. We told him if the price was right and the vehicle was right. We were not sure what kind of vehicle that we wanted. Dan worked tirelessly to find a vehicle that had what we wanted and fir the price. He was never pushy and he took his time to get us a vehicle. At the end of the day, we left with a brand new vehicle. The dealership really stepped up for our trade and to get a vehicle with the options that we wanted. We will definitely go back for another vehicle when it comes time. More
