What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Check Engine light I bought a 2004 Chevy Avalanche from the South County Kia Dealership (Suntrup) Shorty after buying it I had the engine light come on. On the 1st visit I bought a 2004 Chevy Avalanche from the South County Kia Dealership (Suntrup) Shorty after buying it I had the engine light come on. On the 1st visit they said it was a false alarm and they reset the system (Note it was under warranty then). Then shorty after that the light came on again and they replaced a switch (Something to do with the emissions system, also under warranty) But that didn't fix the problem, a week later guess what the engine light came on again and It was out of warranty and they said it was a different emissions issue and it cost me $500.00 bucks to fix it ( I believe it was the same issue from the very 1st time I brought it up there) . Now the light is on again and I have an appointment for 8am tomorrow. Wonder how much money they will try and get out of me tomorrow ? ! They are friendly and have a smile as they take your money! More

It took to long. After the deal was made it took 2 hours to get to financing and then the car still had not been cleaned or fueled up, more waiting. No spare key. After dri This was our second trip to Suntrup Kia to buy a Kia Soul. In 2012 we bought a Kia Soul and had a wonderful, no pressure, buying experience. After driving it for six years with no problems, we decided it was time to purchase another one. Yesterday, we went to Suntrup Kia and made a deal for a 2018 Kia Soul. What an enjoyable, relaxed, experience. Our salesman Dan Mann was exceptional and very accommodating. Within a few hours we were happily driving a new Kia Soul down the road. "Out of His Way" Service Daren knew what inventory was there and after listening to my list of must haves, immediately knew which car was my car. Our new to us family vehicle My spouse and I were ready to get a new to us family vehicle with low miles and a price that wouldn’t break the bank. To our surprise we stoped in at My spouse and I were ready to get a new to us family vehicle with low miles and a price that wouldn’t break the bank. To our surprise we stoped in at Suntrup Kia and Cory showed us this 2014 Ford Focus with low miles and the perfect price stamp. Cory was very easy to talk to which made the entire car buying process easy to do. It was also nice that they had popcorn and a tv area so our son was entertained while we signed all the paperwork. Julie from accounting was also very nice and easy to talk to when finalizing the paperwork. Over all my family and I are pleased with our new to us car. :) More
