Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

Mariah to the rescue! After weeks of diligent searching on-line I had the perfect car picked out for my 16 year old twins. It was supposed to be delivered the day before their birthday. But on the day of delivery I was told the car was no longer available. That evening I went to Suntrup Kia and Mariah had a CR-V that was PERFECT. I have never bought a car so quickly before. I was in and out of that place in under 2 hours, with a 16th Birthday gift that will be remembered forever. BJ was fantastic, Mariah was beyond kind, and my twins had a day they will never forget. As a customer, I felt that I received upfront, honest and detailed information from the multiple interactions I had with Kris. We have bought our last three cars from an another dealership in St. Louis and we’re hesitant to go to someplace where we knew no one. Hunter and everyone at Suntrup were fantastic. I did not feel pre dealership in St. Louis and we’re hesitant to go to someplace where we knew no one. Hunter and everyone at Suntrup were fantastic. I did not feel pressured or rushed through the process. Hunter was especially patient with my two kids interrupting us and knocking things down off of his desk.
