I went in for a routine oil change on 10/4/22 and their service team caught my Palisade on fire! The service technician, Kayla, that was there at the scene that day said it was "engulfed in flames for a se service team caught my Palisade on fire! The service technician, Kayla, that was there at the scene that day said it was "engulfed in flames for a second." I have this statement on video. I was told by the Servicing Director, Elliot Silk, that the car was safe to drive and there was very little heat damage to the bumper only. He was rude, unapologetic, and very berating. I have a voicemail from him that says, "your vehicle is completely safe to drive, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it." I took it to a third party to get an unbiased diagnosis because of the treatment I was receiving from Elliot. More damage was visible to a professional than what I was being told. Along with the melted bumper, trim, and skid plates, there were melted wire harnesses that could cause a short and another fire if driven. Something Suntrup was not going to fix until I provided them with the estimate. After asking them to repair the damage per the estimate I received, allow me to keep the rental they provided as repairs were being completed, and reserve the right to get it reinspected, they agreed. One business day later, I got an email that said, "Elliot does not agree with all the work on the estimate," and "your satisfaction is contingent on too many variables.” They wanted to cut me a check for the estimate amount, demand their rental car back, and leave me without a car for my family (including 3 kids in car seats). I was threatened, bullied, and harrassed for trying to come to a solution that was fair after the incident. With dealerships not having inventory on their lots that suit my family's needs, mechanics not being able to service repairs for 2 months, rental companies not having 3 row cars to rent this time of year, I was forced to have them buy my car from me for an unfair price (less than what they have the same vehicle on their lot for now with 12k more miles on it) and be without a car. Now, they have my car on the lot for sale without any disclosure of the fire incident. The listing in fact reads "clean vehicle history" which they are all well aware of is a lie. They are heartless. BEWARE OF THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP! I made this post public and they responded with blatant lies. I provided all evidence on my facebook page so they look absolutely foolish. More
