It was time to start looking. My sister works for Denso and she said lets just look at Toyota. Our family has always been American vehicles and we did compare closely. We met Randy and right away he made me feel comfortable. He was honest and assuring and allowed the many questions that we had. Everyone else in the office was talking to us as well, considering my sister and I are both quite talkative its hard to not engage in conversation with us when we are together. We were very happy with the service we received at Sunshine Toyota. We had been searching for a vehicle for 3 weeks and were having a hard time getting anyone to return our calls. My husband called after business hours and left a message. Dennis Walters returned our call later that night saying that he had received our message and would call in the morning. And he did. My husband asked for him to email more pictures of the vehicle and he did. The questions my husband asked about the vehicle over the phone were answered truthfully, which we found out after we drove over an hour to see the vehicle. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and accomodating. The price was fair and we are thrilled with our new (to us) van! More
We found the 2003 Honda Odyssey on autotrader.com. That evening i called after hours and left a message for Dennis. He called me back later that evening. The next morning he emailed me with the info that he said he would. Two days later i called and we negotiated a deal. We live a 1hr. and 20mins. away so i wanted to know if it was worth driving there. When we arrived later that day, we found the van to be everything that Dennis said it was. Dennis made it an easy decision for me to exit my current lease a couple of months early and lease a new vehicle. His initial price quote seemed very fair and there was no reason haggle. I couldn't be happier with my Toyota decision. I had been out car shopping for over 2 weeks equipped with the Consumer Report Guide. The car I selected at Toyota had all the features I wanted and a cou been out car shopping for over 2 weeks equipped with the Consumer Report Guide. The car I selected at Toyota had all the features I wanted and a couple that I hadn't planned on, namely navigation, a V6 and moonroof. I loved the outside color and interior of the car more than any other I had found from Nissan, Ford and Chevy which were Toyota's main competition. The price was within $15 of the others...but had so much more in features. Here is what really sealed the deal for me. The salesman and the whole atmosphere at the "Sunshine" dealership. I had already told my salesman, Jim Froelich, that I wanted the XLE. I currently had a lease from Nissan with 2 remaining payments and was trying to decide the best way to handle the payments when Jim said "would you mind if I took a look at your leased car?" Within about 15 minutes he had calculated out the value of my lease, contacted NMAC and arranged to purchase it. Because my car had some equity he also lowered my payment about $10 per month. That really impressed me becuase the Nissan dealer never offered to "lower my payment" because of the equity. Jim also told me after the sale that I would receive free service work for the first 24,000 miles or 2 years (whichever came first). Their service department will drive me to work or where ever and pick me back up. My Nissan dealer offered no such service. Had I known all this earlier they would've had my last 20 years of business as well. More
Wow what a wonderful experience. Buying a car can be a scary thing but Chip (salesman) and Glen(finance) bent over backward to make our car buying experience exceptional! It has been over 13 years since we had entered a car lot to purchase a car and needless to say just looking at prices is enough to scare anyone. But Monday morning when we showed up Chip greeted us and listened to our needs and without any pressure allowed my family to decide what would be best for us. There was no "quick" sale or unwanted "pressure" to buy more than we needed or wanted. When we had decided on the make and model Chip turned us over to Glen for our financing and do to my mothers handicaps they brought the paperwork to the care and allowed her to rest in comfort during the 5 hour buying adventure. If any of my friends or family need a car I will gladly refer them to Sunshine Toyota and Chip. Again thay you Chip, Glenn and the rest of the Sunshine Toyota team...we love our new 2009 Scion xB. It will more than meet our needs for many years to come. More
I spent several weeks searching for a 2009 Corolla and noticed one on Sunshine Toyota's website. I requested information - and Aimee Alger was quick to respond. We have been looking for a mini-van since January. I searched high and low and combed the internet daily, looking for something of quality and in our price range. A long and exhausting search!! I thought a Toyota would be out of the question financially. In one of my many searches, I happened upon Sunshine Toyota and a newly listed used Toyota (no pictures up yet). It sounded perfect, just what we were looking for, and I called them right away. I spoke to Dennis, and he was absolutely great from minute one. He was helpful, honest and forthright, and after dealing with a few different car dealers/salesmen during our search, he was a breath of fresh air. He didn't have a "sales pitch" full of pressure and words, he answered all of my many questions honestly and thoroughly. We drove to Battle Creek for a test-drive of the van, it was ready and waiting for us, as was Dennis. Matt was also there and came out to describe the various details of the van, he was also very helpful and informative. We were sold! Everything we wanted and searched for, we found. Dennis crunched some numbers and got us a deal we were happy with. Needless to say, our newused Toyota is the perfect fit for us. The kids are loving the DVD player, and I love being part of the Toyota family. I can't say enough great things about Dennis, and his no-pressure, forthright service. It's obvious he works hard for his company and equally as hard for his customers. Sunshine Toyota is truly a great place to deal with, and when the time comes, we'll definitely return to them. After dealing with a few Kalamazoo dealerships, I was starting to get very discouraged and disillusioned with car dealers in general. SO GLAD we found Sunshine.
