I’ve owned DOZENS of cars in my 54 years. I’ve never paid sticker price, much less OVER sticker for any of them, but I understand that we live in crazy times, and I am absolutely a capitalist! I defend the right of anyone to charge any price for anything they want...so long as I am not obligated to buy it. I am well aware that some Ford Dealerships are charging over MSRP for vehicles, and equally aware that there is little you, can or should do about that. I, as the consumer, have resolved NOT to pay over MSRP, or to EVER give my business to a dealership that would charge more than MSRP, which is my right. After what seemed like months searching, I finally located an Oxford White Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks at Sunshine Ford in Newburgh, NY, over 75 miles from where I live in Tyler Hill PA. Around noon on November 18, 2021, I spoke with with Randy SCHMIDT, who confirmed that the car was available. I told SCHMIDT at least three times that I was aware that there were some dealerships charging over MSRP for these vehicles, but that I was unwilling to pay more than MSRP, and that if Sunshine was one of those dealers charging over MSRP that he should save me the 150 mile round trip. This conversation was WITNESSED on my end. SCHMIDT all but guaranteed that I would be able to purchase the car at MSRP, which prompted me to get there as soon as possible. When I arrived at the dealership approximately two hours later, after exchanging the usual pleasantries, SCHMIDT advised that currently the Ford Bronco Sport was selling at over $10,000 over MSRP, but that he was willing to work with me, and he showed me a document that was “only" charging me $5000 over MSRP. As you can imagine, I was, and frankly still am apoplectic. That jack xxx wasted my entire afternoon, not to mention a half a tank of gas. I understand its the dealers right to do this, but I DO think it’s Ford Motor Company’s duty to ensure that salespersons representing their brand deal honestly with customers. SCHMIDT is a bald face liar. If he were honest about the dealership policy, I would have looked elsewhere, and you wouldn’t be reading this. He STOLE my afternoon after I specifically told him I would not pay a nickel over MSRP. I spent the lion’s share of my career in federal law enforcement, and if I had done what SCHMIDT did, I would have been fired and quite likely prosecuted. I can’t imagine that anyone reading this would not be as outraged as I am writing it. Stay as far away from This dealership in general and SCHMIDT in particular as is humanly possible. Can I rate this place lower than a zero? More

The WORST service department I have ever felt with. They smile and are very polite but it has taken multiple trips to fix separate issues. I have 2 ford vehicles that I've purchased from them. They are always polite but it's a facade because they don't actually care how inconvenient it is for you to bring you new vehicles (under warranty) in to get fixed. Knowledgable and Family Oriented After many visits to our local dealerships to find the truck we wanted for our farm and family, we then started looking for a dealer that had answers After many visits to our local dealerships to find the truck we wanted for our farm and family, we then started looking for a dealer that had answers to all our questions. Many calls and "I'll get back to you regarding that" conversations with various salespeople later, we called Sunshine ( a bit of a drive for us) and asked for a salesperson that knew trucks, we were quickly transferred to Randy - if there was a question we had, he had an answer, an accurate answer. Off to Newburgh we went ..... We went over all the options we were looking for, the accessories we thought we might enjoy best, most important though, the truck we were hoping to purchase and have for many years (from what we saw on the Ford website). Of course our timing was ever so slightly off and the truck had been sold.... That did not at all stop our guy from tracking down another one. Between emails, texts and phone calls to be sure this was what we wanted he got our truck - At first glance the dealership itself was not what we had seen thus far in our immediate area, and it seemed as if it were undergoing some rather large renovations, fine with us, we live on a farm and would rather have great service than fancy surroundings. Being that we had our toddler with us we were a bit hesitant to spend much time at the dealership, that was quickly taken care of as the other employees came over to us and played trucks with our little man as we hammered Randy with our lists and concerns - this is not something we could have ever forseen - Thank You All !! All done and said, we are home with our new truck, happy toddler and hopefully years worth of a great relationship with this dealer. More

Totally Unprofessional I arrived at Sunshine Ford and was approached by Randahl and told him what car (Lincoln MKC) I was looking for he went in and got the keys and brought I arrived at Sunshine Ford and was approached by Randahl and told him what car (Lincoln MKC) I was looking for he went in and got the keys and brought car around front for me to test drive. I test drove the vehicle and was very happy with it. He got out of the vehicle and was discussing me giving a deposit I told him my situation which is in 1-2 wks my car was being taken back by chysler due to lemon law situation and that I was test driving cars and getting pricing so when they come and get my car I already know what I want. He got irate and told me I was wasting his time and he wasn't going to discuss pricing with me I'm not ready to buy a car. He was very rude and walked away from me. He was very friendly and nice until I told him I couldn't sign that day he turned on me like a rabid dog. I have never been treated like that More

Both Randy and Jean were super cool and pressure free-- after a few hours of negotiating with out any tempers flying we came to a deal that could live with-- pulling off in my new 2015 Xplorer sport-- " as randy would say -- " Its a 50,000 dollar car man ".
