I tried to have my door locks fixed 3 months ago by scheduling the work to be done with an oil change. I was promptly told that the technician that did that work did not work weekends. Mind you that I live an hour and a half away from the dealership. OK For my next oil change...I again scheduled the work to be done on the freezing issue with my door locks. Now it's Friday as I took a day off of work to make sure there was a technician available to work on my doors. I want them fixed before the next winter season rolls around and I'm stuck outside my truck because the doors are frozen! This time I'm told that they can not work on the doors unless they are actually frozen at the time I show up. I asked the Service member there how I was supposed to get in a truck at 6am with frozen door locks and drive it to them so they could see the problem! She had no answer other than that was policy. I assured her that Ford already knew about the problem and it should just be fixed. No dice! THE VERY NEXT DAY I GET AN OFFICIAL LETTER IN THE MAIL FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY TELLING ME THEY ARE AWARE OF A PROBLEM WITH DOOR LOCKS FREEZING AND I CAN HAVE THEM REPLACED AT ANY FORD DEALERSHIP AT ANY TIME! Now I have to schedule another service to get done what should have been done months ago! My 1st problem is, why doesn't someone tell me I need to book on a specific day for a technician when I book a full month in advance. Secondly, if they're going to give me the run around and not do the work, then again...I book a month in advance, tell me so I don't have to miss time from work. There were some other issues with my last visit. 1st of all, Dawn, the Customer Service Rep is just doing her job. It's not her fault all this stuff failed. But I had some aftermarket items put on my truck. The paperwork at the end of the day said the items did not fit correctly. That's because you're supposed to take off the original items! Not place the aftermarket items over them! Then I asked them to look at lights that had not worked for over a year. For some reason that I still don't understand, they are now working. But do I really need to be charged $170 to be told that! In the past, I have had other aftermarket items added and Sunset did a fantastic job with all the other stuff. Usually the service is good. Service rep was courteous and friendly. The work appears satisfactory and complete. I am disappointed with the lead time to get a service appointment. I was normally able to pull in just about any day and satisfactory and complete. I am disappointed with the lead time to get a service appointment. I was normally able to pull in just about any day and get an oil change in a couple of hours. Now it takes 2 weeks to get an appointment. Very frustrating. More

Everything was pretty good, other than I asked about the status of my battery, since any last oil change the battery checked as poor. I called then and was told the car probably just needs to be driven,, Ev status of my battery, since any last oil change the battery checked as poor. I called then and was told the car probably just needs to be driven,, Even though I just drove about 20 miles to get there.. The battery was new in October 2020. I was told it checked as good. Looking over my paperwork, it says the battery is bad. Now I have to make another trip in to get the battery checked. Very frustrating!!! More
