Sunset Ford service dept. will lie to you and mislead you and then overcharge you for their service. I brought my truck to their service dept. to have the PCM programmed to a will lie to you and mislead you and then overcharge you for their service. I brought my truck to their service dept. to have the PCM programmed to a valve body I installed in my transmission and after several attempts of trying to get it to work they told me I needed a new transmission and wanted to charge me approx. $9,000. I could have had this done at a local transmission shop for half that price. My truck worked fine for 4 years and had an occasional funny shift at a certain RPM range which was annoying after 4 years, so I did a lot of research and replaced the valve body and lead frame. The only thing Sunset Ford was supposed to do was program the PCM to the new parts. They couldn't even get that right. Then they tell me I need a new transmission. I'm not buying it. Warning: Do not go to this dealership for service unless you want to get lied to and ripped off. More

When I was not able to maintain my car, while it was being diagnosed, Tony Pizzella, in your sales department, who sold me my car, and Memphis (in the rental department) assured me that everything would be handled In a professional manner.They were very supportive. I give them accolades. The service department was very difficult. I reached out on three separate occasions without any response. Had it not been for Tony Pizzella they would probably still have my car. I give great thanks to both Tony and Memphis for navigating me through the difficulties of your service department. Mind you, this is not part of their job description , however they stepped up to the plate to make sure everything was made right . I am disheartened to say that your service department at Ford lacks organization. I should not have been without my car for 3 1/2 weeks to get a diagnostic. My car was drivable, yet I was advised by the service department it needed to be there because a diagnostic could be available at any time . Side note, I had already had my car in several months before with the same issue, which was unresolved. I do blame this on the poor ability to question the customer and take proper notes. Yes, I would be willing to buy a car from Sunset Ford again, but I will never, never, never, have my car serviced there ever, ever again. I apologize for the redundancy, but I hope Ford can make this right for future customers. I will make this known on several media outlets . I had my first Ford vehicle serviced at this place over 10 years ago, and the service was excellent. So, I decided to bring it back for a faulty headlight replacement/repair on 2.12.24. It seemed like a si 10 years ago, and the service was excellent. So, I decided to bring it back for a faulty headlight replacement/repair on 2.12.24. It seemed like a simple fix, but as of now, I still don't have my car back. During the first week, the technician was out sick, and the following week they needed to run diagnostics and troubleshoot. I informed the service person, Mike, that I needed my vehicle back by 2.26.24 due to prior commitments. I even told him that if he wasn't 100% sure that the vehicle would be ready by then, I would gladly pay for the part and come back at a later time as the car was needed for transportation. Mike assured me that he would work on it. However, it's now 2.27.24, and Mike is not returning my phone calls even though he has my car. I am disappointed, and to be honest, a little embarrassed. The place is good for oil changes like the review says, but I wouldn't recommend getting trapped like I did. Update: After Mike at Sunset called me back, he agreed to return my car to me. We scheduled the repair to be done a week later. When the day arrived for the repair to be completed, he gave me a rental car to use while mine was being worked on. They replaced the wire harness and fixed the recall issue. I got my car back on the same day. In the end, Mike made the situation right, and I am grateful for his help. More
