I bought my 2018 f-150 when it was brand new to sunsets lot. Had to go through an extensive inspection before we could take it home, and not even a year later the transmission goes out, which shouldn’t be lot. Had to go through an extensive inspection before we could take it home, and not even a year later the transmission goes out, which shouldn’t be an issue due to the lifetime warranty right? Wrong, my truck has been at sunset for 3 months now, their warranty company they are partnered with refuses to give details to anyone other than the dealership and they are trying their hardest not to pay, and sunset acts like it’s their first time dealing with a warranty company when their warranty is literally what they are known for. Honestly if I could give negative stars I would I am not pleased with their service whatsoever! More
This was by far my wost car shopping experience ever and nearly 4 months later continues to give me headaches. Let's start with the purchasing process. We took over someone else's Bronco order and was t nearly 4 months later continues to give me headaches. Let's start with the purchasing process. We took over someone else's Bronco order and was told it would be in 2 weeks later. We purchased in November. It did not arrive until late January. Were we at any point notified by the salesman that it had been delayed? Absolutely not. I under stand that their are delays but communication is key. On multiple occasions I reached out to get a status update and see if they could tell me something I did not already know from the Ford Vehicle Order tracking page. I was told repeatedly that they don't have the ability to track the order once it has been placed. A blatant lie as we know people at other dealerships that provide their customers with much more visibility and regular updates. Getting an update from Steven was like pulling teeth. Heck, when our car actually arrived he did not even tell us. I happened to check the Ford tracker on Monday morning and saw it had arrived Friday. To say I was upset is an understatement. I had to be the one to reach out to the salesman to ask if it had been delivered. I've had the car a few weeks now and that brings us to today. I had to bring the car in to get the mods the original purchaser requested. I was told it would only take a few hours. When I arrived, I was told it would take all day. Thankfully they were able to give me a loaner car as we only have the one car and I had moved all my meetings to the afternoon to account for the time in the service shop. While there today I asked them to check on our license plate. During the time that we purchased the car and we received the car I received a call saying our plates were ready. I asked them to just hold them until our car arrived. On the day the car arrived our salesman was clueless and told me they never came in. So today when I was their for the service shop I went to check. Apparently they had already been signed out but whoever took them did not actually sign so they are no where to be found. So now they need to order more. Also, you charged us well over MSRP while that is a practice not appreciated by Ford's CEO. The ONLY good experience we had is when we dealt with the person who provided us with a loaner car. I believe his name was Justin. More

At first everything seems true except they lie to you about the prices and will not buy your trade in even if you bought it there for even close to actual market value. They wrecked my truck when it went about the prices and will not buy your trade in even if you bought it there for even close to actual market value. They wrecked my truck when it went to get a bed liner and then promised to make up for it and that was a lie. Do not deal with ceasear he’s a liar and a con man used car dealer…. More

John Kim at sunset remembered me from test driving a bronco and called me when a previous order fell through. He was great to work with and kept me posted as my bronco build progressed. Really bad is the second time we had a recall and they not able to provide a vehicle over a month waiting end up charging us for a recall, because they had to charge the battery after we told them the veh not able to provide a vehicle over a month waiting end up charging us for a recall, because they had to charge the battery after we told them the vehicle was parked over a month end up paying almost 200 dollars. Had an appointment with Scott on a monday, so I went into service department to check in. He was scrambling around with papers at the desk and didn’t greet or even look up at me for about 10 minutes. He told service department to check in. He was scrambling around with papers at the desk and didn’t greet or even look up at me for about 10 minutes. He told me to grab my car so I did. Then I sat there for another 25 minutes STILL waiting to get checked in, being ignored by everyone there who could’ve easily said “we’ll be with you in a moment.” When I finally did and Scott was going through my warranty papers he said “I doubt your warranty will cover it” and I asked why and he said “your names not on the paper” and I explained that my dad was my co-signer but my name is on the car and he rolled his eyes and just sighed “okay.” After I got all checked-in I asked how long they’d have my car and they didn’t give me any answer. The next day came around and I didn’t receive a call at all to see what was going on with my car. Finally on the third day I called and they said it’d be done by the afternoon. Luckily I had a ride for the days I didn’t have a car otherwise I’d be upset that I didn’t get offered a rental. More
