Sarah was very friendly and personable. She was also knowledgeable about the car we bought. Sunset worked with us on the price until we were all happy. What a joke of a dealership!!! The manager, Larry Sidberry, should not be working with the public at all. Hes ridiculous! Ive owned tons of Fords but my only Sunset purchase was in 1998. A new Cobra that as of today only has 8000 miles on it. My dad had recently been wanting a new truck and since I just bought an f250 in November from Suntrup Kirkwood hed really been noticing the Ford set of trucks. I searched the internet for what he was looking for and found it at Sunset. I recorded the vin, called the dealership and talked to a nice salesman who quoted me 28000 for the truck. SInce my mom had recently passed away, and of course his wife, I made it a point try to get his head somewhere else. I know it cant take away the pain but I figured what better way to get a smile from him, even if only for a second, was to buy him a new truck. We secured the funds and headed to Sunset, a 60 mile trip. When we arrived the salesman went to fetch the pickup and when he came around the corner with the keys for a test drive he declared he had "xxxxed up" and quoted the wrong price. The real price would be close to 34000. 6 grand higher than quoted. I asked the salesman to speak to the manager, Larry, and this is when things really got ridiculous. After a brief chat the salesman came over and said Larry is not going to budge 1 dime. That's when I got ticked.... I asked to speak to Larry. When he came over I explained the situation which he could of cared less about. After bickering back and forth I offered to meet him somewhere in the middle around 30, 31000. He still declined. When reminding him I just drove 60 mile to get there he said hed take a hundred bucks off the truck for gas money, then after reminding him my time was worth money too, he kind of got a smart-cocky look on his face and said how much do you make? Ill take that off the truck too. All the while my 71 year old father sitting there quietly just wanting to leave! I called Ford motor company and let them know my feelings about Larry. I then emailed him to let him know exactly what I had just done and in return received a generic email back from Larry stating he was a stand up guy and a straight shooter!! What a joke!!! You could tell my dad was somewhat frustrated so I started looking elsewhere. Ive mentioned this to 3 different Ford dealers that we have visited since and they cant believe the poor service Sunset showed us. The funny part... My family buys nothing but Fords. My aunt and uncle have been buying from Sunset and Sunset only for 20 plus years. Not only did Larry loose my business, he lost theirs. AND they buy a new car every 2 years. Over this, Larry has cost Sunset thousands of "future" dollars. Great job Larry! Keep up the fine work. So now, even after I purchase dads truck from Bommaritto I will continue to let everyone know exactly what kind of service you get on Gravois road! And that's not much!!!! More

I have been thinking about a new vehicle for a while now and I went to the Ford website just to check out the new 2014 Fusion's. A few days later I received a call from Sara Scheu and she had spoken to Lar and I went to the Ford website just to check out the new 2014 Fusion's. A few days later I received a call from Sara Scheu and she had spoken to Larry Sidberry the Sales Manager and offered to put me into a new 2014 Ford Fusion. I made arrangements to visit the dealership yesterday thinking that i would be getting my second choice in the color of the vehicle since the blue one had not come in yet. To my surprise when I arrived the blue vehicle was there and it was nearly ready for me to take home. I took it for a test drive and was surprised to see that the 2014 model handles better than the 2012 model. I agreed to take the new car and was told by Sarah that my financing had already been approved and all I would have to do was sign the paperwork. Meanwhile, she took the car to the service department to have it the last minute preparations done. We transferred my belongings from my old car to the new one, added the temp tag and I was on my way home. I have been at the dealership in the past for several hours waiting for paperwork to be prepared and finalizing the whole purchase process took about four hours. This time was different, I finished the test drive, we synchronized my phone to the car, I signed the paperwork, and was nearly ready to go in an hour. It took a little while to transfer my belongings and add the temp tag to the new car. All in all the whole process took less than two hours, nearly everything was ready before I arrived, how efficient is that, WOW what a great team is all I can say for the people at Sunset Ford. More
This was my first time working with Sunset Ford. We had spoken on the phone about my interest in an 07 Mitsubishi Eclipse they had on their lot.
