I was considering a few different Chevy/GMC 2500HD's that Sunset had in stock, and in the previous week I had dealt with a lady named Jessica I believe, she was very helpful, and full of information, bu that Sunset had in stock, and in the previous week I had dealt with a lady named Jessica I believe, she was very helpful, and full of information, but somehow Marco (Mark) took over. I must say, up until last night he HAD been somewhat helpful, but I am an hour and a half (1-way) from the dealership, so I sent a message requesting to talk price over the email before I waste a whole day driving down there, here is what I wrote.... Mark, I had written you 2 more messages but never heard back. Pretty much I was saying I'm in Marysville, and am not going to drive all the way down there just for a test drive and tire kicking, I want to know what to expect price-wise before I make an hour and a half one way drive. I've got my own shop, so I don't need the "lifetime warranty" or oil changes that you guys have, and that's all rolled into the price, so what can you do price-wise? I have looked up the KBB value on both that truck and my current truck to get an idea what my trade is worth and what to pay, even though that Chevy has been wrecked, so that doesn't help. Let me know and I'll see if I think it's worth a trip. Thank you MY NAME Here is the response that I got back..... Unfortunately, I was unable answer to answer as quickly as you wished because occasionally I do actually have the opportunity to help customers who are here at the dealership. I am not really in the position to negotiate against myself. I sent you the information that you requested so feel free to make me an offer if you like. Congratulations on owning your own shop! Our Lifetime Warranty includes parts; even a plumber has to pay the water bill. The truck was not "wrecked" which would mean a branded title. We don't sell "wrecked" trucks. Thanks again for considering Sunset Chevrolet. All he had to say was, "I'm sorry, I cannot talk price via email", and I would've looked somewhere else. Instead I get this ridiculous piece of customer relations, insuring that neither I, nor any of my friends and family will either, (and we are a GM family), and I will post this email for everyone who stops by to see. And just for the record, the truck HAS been in a wreck, I have the "Carfax" and "Autocheck" right here to prove it. So apparently they are also trying to lie and say that a vehicle that has been reported in an accident, by the Boulder City Police Department, was never wrecked, I guess the Police are lying? I was VERY seriously considering buying from them until this customer service fiasco, apparently they could care less about the customer, all they want is your money, and if you won't dish it out immediately, they tell you where to stick it. We drove over 267 miles one way to look at a 2007 Yukon Denali and it was well worth the drive. Our salesman Jim Triggs was the BEST anyone could ask for. From my very first conversation with John Abbott he put me at ease making my buying experience the most pleasant ever. I had been to other car lots and they just wasted my time and insulted me because I ha me at ease making my buying experience the most pleasant ever. I had been to other car lots and they just wasted my time and insulted me because I have not had to finance anything for over 15 years, showing that I had no active credit. This Dealership made sure my wife and I were comfortable and made sure we knew that what we were looking for was important to them. When the car we were looking at sold before we could get the paperwork done, they suggested a newer vehicle for about the same money with fewer miles, so I test drove it and went back in to finish paperwork, then I figured they would call me when it was approved like the other lots did to me, as I was about to leave they said, "Your car is being detailed and will be done shortly" from that moment on I couldn't stop smiling. Yes Sunset Chevrolet gets an A+ rating from me, I won't ever waste my time again with any other Dealership, and will send you anyone that asks where they can get a good car deal! More
I thought that I would never write a review for a car dealership, let alone a positive one. Never say never. I have owned 33 vehicles in my life. Never once have I had a quality enjoyable experience, before now. This is my 34th vehicle. I was just courious and kind of brousing around for a possible purchase, then 2 things transpired. 1) Sunset Chevrolet of Sumner and 2) John Abbott. John and I found my dream vehicle. A Hummer H2. What set John apart from my previous bad experiences from dealerships and car salespersons was that John actually had a genuine concern for me to get the vehicle that I actually wanted. The attention and communication was far above superb. I would always get immediate answers back via the telephone or emails. Oh, by the way, I purchased this vehicle whilst I was in another state and never felt out of the loop. After, about 300 emails, we had a done deal. John even picked me up at the airport in my Hummer when I flew in to pick up the vehicle. My experience was outstanding. I am leaving the dealership with a true and real smile on my face. John Abbott and the Sunset Chevrolet dealership changed my opinion on buying a vehicle. I will recommend this dealership and John Abbott to my friends and I will remain a loyal customer in the future. More
