Started great, ended horribly We had found a used 2013 Tahoe online, which we thought was priced in the market average and appeared to be in good shape. We live more than 120 miles away from the dealership, so began to email back and forth with a salesman (Paul Armstrong). We passed our trade-in info and further information on the Tahoe back and forth and we were given a "starting" OUT-THE-DOOR price for the Tahoe. We felt it was a reasonably conservative but fair number and justified the trip south to drive the Tahoe and discuss further. Unfortunately, when we arrived Paul was not working that day so we began working with another salesman, who also appeared to be very helpful and accommodating. We drove the Tahoe and everything looked good, it drove well, and hit all of our needs. The only issue was that the mileage on the vehicle was nearly 5000 more than what was listed online. When it came time to discuss numbers, not only did they back track on the offer I had received on our trade ($1000), but they were unwilling to budge on the list price of the vehicle, even with the mileage discrepancy, and past email correspondence. When we gave them our 'max' budget (less than $800 off from what they wanted) the sales manager (Shawn Kennedy) proceeded to tell us we were "wasting his time" and "you just need to get out", he then grabbed all the paperwork off the desk, crumpled it up, threw it in the trash and walked away, leaving us sitting at the desk... I was dumbfounded. Never have I been treated like that at a car dealership, or anywhere in the business world for that matter. There are times when the numbers just don't work for both parties, and the typical response is to say, "I'm sorry, that number just doesn't work for us"... and that would have been acceptable. To make matters worse we had not yet received our keys back for our trade in vehicle, so we were left to wait in the lobby for another 10-15 minutes while they were tracked down and returned to us. It was an incredibly disappointing end to a long drive/day, and what we felt was a promising family vehicle. More

GO TO DAVE SMITH IN IDAHO THEY WILL TREAT YOU RIGHT Absolutely worst customer service you will ever get from a dealership . I chose sunset Chevy as the best place to purchase a used vehicle rather than the fly by night corner lot dealership thinking it would provide me with a quality used vehicle. Granted the vehicle is used it has miles on it nothing is perfect. However I have driven my vehicle less than 1500 miles and its falling apart. Soon after my purchase I had major grinding issues in the drive train then three warning lights came on. I parked the vehicle for a week and touch base with sunset Chevy to let them know what was taking place. I was passed around to four different people to get the final answer well you bought a used vehicle nothing we can do. Don't have the same experience no matter where you buy your vehicle spend a little money and take it to an ASC certified mechanic and get the facts. Don't be fooled by the shady used car dealers. The warranty for life doesn't apply to most of the used vehicles so don't think your going to get this before you go. I drove 200 miles in hopes of getting a good deal for my trade and a good deal on a used vehicle which did not happen. I would never recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from Sunset Chevy do yourself a favor and take a nice drive to DAVE SMITH in Idaho they know customer service and always provide you the real truth standing behind their name and reputation. Best car buying experience ever! I had the most pleasurable opportunity of working with David Goeke at Sunset Chevrolet in Sumner, Washington. We had discussed several options over th I had the most pleasurable opportunity of working with David Goeke at Sunset Chevrolet in Sumner, Washington. We had discussed several options over the phone by text, calls and emails to finally get the perfect price on my new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. I have tried to deal with other Chevrolet dealers in Idaho, but they could never find the right deal for me. It took about one week of working with David to get everything together and having me driving my brand new Corvette. He even took care of the delivery all the way to Idaho, eight hours away, where John unloaded it and showed me the features of the new Z06. This was the best experience that I have had working with the price, prompt and considerate communication, and the customer experience that isn't seen too much these days. I even got a Happy Thanksgiving text from Dave to me and my family. That is not only great customer service, but building a great future relationship that I will go to when getting my next car or sending people to them. The throttle body in my 2009 Silverado went bad about six months after purchasing it at Sunset Chevrolet. I was worried about my transportation while it was at the shop because I am on call 24 hours, but they had rental vehicles on site and ready to go. Not only was the throttle body covered under my warranty, but the rental vehicle was as well. My truck was fixed within a day and I got to drive a nearly new Camaro while it was being fixed. The truck runs great again and we didn't have to pay a penny for what would have cost over $1300 without the warranty. I will never go anywhere other than Sunset when I am in the market for a vehicle from now on. More
