Horrid experience It's difficult to know where to start with how awful an experience we have had at Sunset. We bought a brand new Silverado Memorial Day weekend. It was It's difficult to know where to start with how awful an experience we have had at Sunset. We bought a brand new Silverado Memorial Day weekend. It was in transit and supposed to be delivered June 2nd. We got the vehicle the 29th of June. My wife and I had to call and text over and over again to get status updates. No proactive approach was taken to update us. We finally had enough work and asked to speak to the sales manager. He left us a voicemail, and when we tried to call back, we were transferred to someone else's voicemail. No one called us back. This is short version of our horrid experience with the sales department. Now onto the service department. We were supposed to be able to drop the vehicle off during business hours on the fourth of July in order to get a bed liner sprayed. This also took multiple calls to set up. When we got there the gates were closed. Someone behind the gate identified herself as an employee but had no identification, so we waited to make sure she could open the shop to store our vehicle. She stated that it was slow, so they closed early. This week we also have a leak in our tire. I took the vehicle in because the service department said they could look at it quickly. I arrived to the comments of, "could you leave it here for a couple hours?" After explaining the need to get on the road for a family vacation in Oregon, they did look at the tire. They said the tire was fine. It lost air as we were traveling in Oregon. It is now at another dealership awaiting review. We are stranded in Oregon with out of town guests and our toddler. This is by far the worst purchasing experience our family has experienced with any material item. Also, I have the opinion that they don't care about the safety of the vehicles they service either, given our experience with their willingness to hand over a vehicle with a tire problem without diagnosing and resolving the issue. I hate to imagine what would have happened if there were a catastrophic failure of the tire of a vehicle filled with people and a toddler. The expectations are constantly falsely set, the follow up is non existent, service is incomplete, and the products are faulty. Please avoid this place at all costs. More

Sunset Service mgr (Chrissteen?) told me Onstar wont work in Canada. After calling Onstar they said they do have service in Canada though service is spotty. The check engine light was due to a bad glowplug (diesel) that needed to be replaced. Service mgr left message to call back to authorize work a little before 11:00am. After repeatedly trying to talk with her to start work she finally called me at 4:00pm. It was completed by 5:15pm when she called me to pick it up Workmanship seems fine. But the service mgr needs to return multiple calls throughout the day in a more professional & prompt manner The vehicle basically sat most of the day while she wouldnt answer the phone. She also needs to study Onstar system to better understand how it works. Overall not a good way to run a business and it reflects poorly on Sunset Chevs once outstanding reputation Hopefully she will learn from this to be better at her job. More

Service of 2015 3500HD I have had my truck since August of 2014 and I have dealt with Ian since day one. This time when I came in to get my truck serviced I found out that I have had my truck since August of 2014 and I have dealt with Ian since day one. This time when I came in to get my truck serviced I found out that Ian no longer works for you. I waited about 5 min before being greeted with people walking back and forth looking up but not saying a word. They just kept working on what ever was more important. Once I was finally greeted the service gentleman was very nice to work with. When I received my phone call saying my service was completed I returned and went to pay for my additional items over and above my oil change, the gal that rang me up was very short, she didn’t say a word other then how much I owed and where to sign. After leaving the service department and getting to my truck I had oily finger prints all over my door, door handle, hood, grill and steering wheel. My seat and mirror had all be readjusted to whoever moved it around the lot. This was by far the worst interactions that I have ever had with Sunset. I hope it doesn’t continue because I well definitely find another dealership to deal with. More
