Sunrise Ford Volkswagen is the latest addition to the Sunrise Ford family business which has been a fixture in St. Lucie County since 1932. On 2/8/24 I purchased a 2021 GMC Sierra Denali from Sunrise VW @ a cost of $46,450.04. When I inquired as to warranty protection coverage the salesman informed me that the vehicle comes with a 90 day warranty. However, after agreeing to purchase the GMC Denali I was informed by a manager there is no warranty that comes with the vehicle but I could purchase a warranty protection policy thru their finance officer, I paid $2,076.00 for a two year warranty agreement and an additional $299.00 on a LoJack Service Agreement for a two year warranty as well. The two year agreements are dated 2/8/24 with an expiration date of 2/8/26. On 2/23/24 I took the GMC Denali to a GM dealer in New Smyrna Beach, Fl, for an issue I was having, the dealers charge was $306.70. OK, I had in place a bumper to bumper two year warranty agreement, but when the Dealership called to get approval on the warranty, they were informed the warranty didn't take effect until 30 days from 2/8/24. Obviously, any reasonable person would be under the assumption the vehicle would be covered under their purchased warranty agreement since the Contractual Agreements clearly states "2/8/24 EFFECTIVE DATE" "2/8/26 EXPIRATION DATE" 3/8/24 - 2/8/26 by my calculations is not two years it's one year eleven months. I purchased a two year warranty, I did not purchase a 1 year 11 month warranty! Thank You, George W. Degler
