I purchased a used Expedition. I was lied to about the car being inspected and serviced. It had bad breaks, oil and a bad turn bulb. After all the numbers were reached. They will ‘force’ you to add $1790.00 in 3rd party unless adons. Plus the APR on top of that$. In my 64 years, this is the most unethical dishonest car dealership I’ve ever done business with. Nice dealership, nice salesmen, and the truck was everything we were wanting. We paid the asking price for the truck, but then small print add-on costs (paint protection, interior protection, auto-t everything we were wanting. We paid the asking price for the truck, but then small print add-on costs (paint protection, interior protection, auto-theft device) which we didn't request were put in place. Despite this, we agreed to those costs, wrote the check, and then discovered at the final close-out they wanted addition money for titling/registration (paying a third party to title the truck in our state). No deal at that point and we walked away. The salesman, Edgar, encouraged us to return and said the check we wrote would be sufficient; so we drove away with the truck. Now we're back home, 3,000 miles away, and the hosting company for the auto-theft device is telling us the dealership did not install the auto-theft device for which we paid. The third-party titling company is telling us we need to go to DMV to get VIN verification and have the truck SMOG'd ... documentation to then be sent to the third party to complete getting it titled. If we're going to DMV to get the VIN verified, we could very well be titling the truck ourselves and save us the extra $ paid to the third party. Three weeks after buying the truck, the dealership still has not resolved the auto-theft device discrepancy and title to the truck still has not been transferred to us. Nobody from the dealership has followed up on our calls to get them resolved. We are now enlisting the support of an attorney in Florida to get the remedy. More
