Pleasant Used Car Buying Experience Based on a recommendation from a family member that is a GM mechanic, I looked for a Chevy Trax. I found a 2018 at Sunrise after looking online for a Based on a recommendation from a family member that is a GM mechanic, I looked for a Chevy Trax. I found a 2018 at Sunrise after looking online for a few weeks.The price was pretty good, better than average, but when I looked at the CarFax, which was readily available on Sunrise's website, it had been in a front end collision. It was certified preowned, so I gave it a shot and made an appointment. I brought my mechanic with me. Manny & Sunrise were extremely accommodating, and even put the car on a lift so we could perform a thorough inspection. The deal was done. Financing through the dealer got me a better interest rate than my own bank offered. My only negative of the entire experience is lack of disclosing the "certified preowned" part is essentially an extended warranty, that adds another $2000 to the price. This information is no where to be found until filling out the bill of sale. Standard practice in the industry? Probably, but shouldn't be. More
