We came in to have our vehicle serviced. We explained the issue we were having and it seemed like it was an issue with the recall of the valve. Getting up to highway speed when getting on th We explained the issue we were having and it seemed like it was an issue with the recall of the valve. Getting up to highway speed when getting on the freeway, when pressing on the gas the vehicle doesn't get up to speed it gets stuck trying to even get to 60 and the same with getting past 60. The vehicle also feels like it's running hard and has a vibrational feeling on/under the floorboard and while this issue doesn't happen every time, it does happen multiple times and every day. We explained all of the above to the rep and he said they would run the diagnostic. We waited and then a different rep came and said there wasn't anything showing on the diagnostic test but that a wheel bearing was needed and the vehicle ran fine. We asked where the mechanic drove the vehicle and was told just on some route but not the highway and on the highway, getting on and up to speed, is when the issue happens. The rep said he'd go back and speak to the mechanic, returned, and said the mechanic stands on his word and wouldn't take the vehicle on the freeway. We feel like we wasted $200 (or rather $198) and more specifically for me I liken it to when you go to the doctor because there's an issue but you're told there's nothing wrong or they can't find anything. A diagnostic test isn't absolute and it's possible it won't catch the issue that's happening with the vehicle. and since we're still having the same issue we think this is one of the times the diagnostic didn't catch it. We don't think it would have been the worst thing to actually take the vehicle on the freeway to see what the issue is since it's not an issue driving on the street. Our issue with the wheel bearing which was quoted over $600 is what if that wasn't/isn't the issue and the vehicle would still have the acceleration and vibration issue. But, the mechanic didn't feel the need to do any more than he did. I could have taken our vehicle to a closer dealership, however, for the last 7 years, I chose to come back to Sunnyside an hour away to have it serviced because I purchased it there. I would have recommended the dealership in the past, but now, I'm not so sure. I don't remember the fella that told us what the mechanic said or his/her name either. I'm sure the dealership service department can find out who it is in their system. The only person I have had contact with in the past is Tammy Kopp. I don't remember the others I'm sure I've had contact with but never an issue. More

Took my 2014 impala in to have the sunshade replaced do to it ripping. I paid over $2100 for them to repair, went to pick it up and it wasn’t working correctly so left it for them to fix it correctly. Went to it ripping. I paid over $2100 for them to repair, went to pick it up and it wasn’t working correctly so left it for them to fix it correctly. Went and picked it up and took it to the car wash and now the sunroof is leaking. So I called them had to take the car back and the part they replaced is broken so now they have to get another part and replace it. Well this all started in June it is now November and they still haven’t fixed it. I have called and left Tammy the service sales woman I worked with and she doesn’t even return my call. So I reached out to the Manager, at first he didn’t return my call, so then I called and left a message that if I didn’t hear from someone that I would have to take further steps to get something done, he finally called me back. This is 11/4 and it still isn’t fixed. Can’t drive it in the rain because of the leak. And the guy that did the work didn’t even clean the door jams that he got all dirty from getting in and out of the vehicle. I came to Sunnyside because I wasn’t happy with slimans service department, well now it looks like I may have to find another service department to go to. More

Denise Gurnack was extremely helpful, and very personable. I came in for an oil change , and she sold me a nice truck. Trashed my Corvette to the tune of $1K`s They trashed my show room 2012 Grand Sport Corvette. Ruined the leather driver`s seat by the 300+ 6`4``supposedly Mechanic getting in and out at least They trashed my show room 2012 Grand Sport Corvette. Ruined the leather driver`s seat by the 300+ 6`4``supposedly Mechanic getting in and out at least 20 times while recharging the A/C and trouble shooting the power top as to why it failed only after 3 uses. I bought the car off the show room floor at Voss Chevy. It had 4k miles on it when I too it Sunny side . The beige leather seats were so FILTHY when I got it back , they looked grey. Any body that filthy had to work on the lube rack ! I know, I had that job at a Chevy dealership ! My new high $$$ floor mat was greased up on the passenger side ( I always keep a white towel on the drivers side so not to soil the mat, same with the seat. I removed the towel when I took it there on the driver`s seat. (I`m 5`7`` and about 150#`s at that time. Seat was like new !!! (keep my cars in GREAT SHAPE !! (Have a 1966SS396 original paint I bought new 21 k miles on it )That should tell you something about my care of cars . And a 2002 Trail Blazer ordered special as a retirement present, still looks new; low, LOW miles. Any way, they also trashed the fuse box cover under the hood either when they did the A/C or trouble shooting the power top . ( all scraped and scratched up.)OR some one swapped it out for a Junk cover. ( they are about $ 300 bucks ! And to ad insult to injury , when they called and said it was done, BUT!!! When they parked it out back at closing time , the engine light came on !!! I knew that was BS. And in the morning they changed their story to OHHHH !!!! The engine light came on when they drove it to the front to be picked up !! Sound familiar any one ??? !! I requested to talk to the service Mgr. They told me he`s on vacation. Then let me speak to who`s in charge now. they said it was the new car mgr. If I remember correctly ; said OK, wait a minute ;;A few minutes later , they stated they could not find him.. I was HOT!! I said that check engine light BETTER be out when I get up there. Let me talk to the owner please; Bob or who ever I was speaking to, said he`s gone for a couple months ;;I hung up and called the receptionist and asked who the owner of Sunny Side was and I wanted to speak to him. SHE says; I don`t know who the owner is ! I said, you work there and don`t know who the owner is ??? !!SO, I picked the car up and guess what ? The check engine light went out. Moving forward, when I said about the greasy seats ; they said drive up to the detail shop and they will clean the floor mat AND the seats, which they did. So that still left me with the wrinkled up driver`s seat and the trashed fuse box cover. Mr. Lester , the service manager told me to bring it up again. He looked at the fuse box, and said he`d research it. And he`d get back to me, which he NEVER did; And about the seat; I could tell by the look on his face, he knew the 300+ pounder who worked on it ruined the seat and who ever else was driving it. My license plate , which I keep on the front Pass. floor (I don`t run a front plate, was bent up so much, I could not believe it! I could go on, but I`m 73+ now and my typing finger is worn out !! DID I mention I have worked on my own cars, since age 15, drag raced at #42 and Norwalk, Thompson , and Detroit drag strip and built my own car back in the day for Lorain County Speed Way ? And have 7 Chevy`s at home ! Oh, almost forgot, I`m a retired mechanic . (30 years !) They thought they had a live one because of my age. Cheers ! Donovan Dahl Sr. PS: I want the seat cover replaced and the fuse box (under the hood ) replaced and I`d like to talk to the owner, which I think is a very fine man. Thanks for your time in reading ;;;off my soap box for now ! More
