$1500 in Repairs Needed My husband and I traveled two hours each way to buy a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox with 40,000 miles from Sundance Chevrolet. It ran fine when we test drove My husband and I traveled two hours each way to buy a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox with 40,000 miles from Sundance Chevrolet. It ran fine when we test drove it and was good for the first 5 days we owned it. On the 6th day, all xxxx broke loose. The service Stabilitrack, ABS, and Check Engine lights came on and the car would dangerously lose power within a few minutes of starting - leading to a close call as I was pulling out onto the highway while I had my 2-year-old with me. I took it to our local mechanic (again, Sundance was 2 hours away) and he's estimated that the car needs $1500 in repairs; including a new front wheel bearing/hub assembly, carbonization removal on the intake valve, rear brakes (he said they were severely worn), new spark plugs, and fuel induction service. I haven't even made my first payment on this car! I contacted our salesperson (Kevin Scharer) who was less than helpful (after he neglected to call me back the first time). I'm not happy. More

Sketchy Business Called about a car they had listed on Autotrader. I went to their website to find it there as well. I live 3 hours away and talked to a salesman on Called about a car they had listed on Autotrader. I went to their website to find it there as well. I live 3 hours away and talked to a salesman on the phone. He wanted to "make sure it wasn't sold" and to "get his hands on the tag" to apparently secure it. Said he'd call me right back. I called him 2 hours later and he said that the sales manager was "trying to figure out the situation" with the car and that they had just received it. Well, I had seen 2-3 days prior on auto trader. He made it sound like they were still processing it but assured me that it had been inspected and it could be sold to me the next day were I to come down. Meanwhile he took the VIN from my trade in to start working on that. NEVER heard back from him. Called 2 hours later AGAIN and he didn't answer and didn't return my phone call. It's still listed on the their site as well as Autotrader. Looking at the other reviews, it seems they have a tough time being honest about their stock. Clearly they didn't want to tell me the truth about the status of the vehicle. I thought about calling to speak with a manager but it doesn't sound like they are advocates for the customer or good stewards of their business name based on the other reviews. More
