I witnessed a disturbing incident in parts department at Sun State Ford on February 19. While I was attempting to purchase parts, I was being assisted by an older employee when another staff member behin Sun State Ford on February 19. While I was attempting to purchase parts, I was being assisted by an older employee when another staff member behind the counter began yelling aggressively at him. The behavior was extremely unprofessional and escalated to a level I have never seen in a place of business. The situation was loud, confrontational, and uncomfortable for customers present. I waited for a member of management to intervene, but no one came forward to address the situation. I could hear laughter from the back area, yet there was no visible attempt to assist or de-escalate the employee’s behavior. The individual appeared to be in his mid-to-late 20s and was verbally attacking the older employee in a manner that was alarming to witness. Another customer near me commented that the aggressive employee smelled strongly of marijuana and appeared to have residue on his clothing. I cannot confirm this personally, but his behavior suggested he may not have been fit for duty and may have been under the influence of something else as well. At one point, I believe I heard someone refer to him as “Jose”. The entire interaction was unsettling and reflected poorly on the standards I would expect from a dealership representing Ford Motor Company. As a result of this experience, I chose to leave without making my purchase and instead traveled to another dealership approximately eight miles away. I hope this matter is reviewed and addressed appropriately so future customers do not encounter a similar situation. More

I look down along the driver’s side and—of course—there it is. A nail in my tire. Pressure dropping. Dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree. I’m sweating. I’m spiraling. I have absolutely no idea what to do, so I do what any modern adult does in a crisis: I Google the closest Ford service center. I roll into Sun State Ford at 5:45 PM. They close in 15 minutes. I walk in looking like a man who’s been personally betrayed by the universe. Robert and Maurice take one look at me—frazzled, stressed, clearly not okay—and instead of hitting me with the “we’re closing” speech, they look at each other like, yeah… we got this guy. Like two old buddies who don’t even need to talk about it, they pull my car into service for a last-minute hail-Mary repair. Now here’s where I’m really panicking. I’m already bracing myself for the price of a brand-new tire. I’m doing mental math. I’m bargaining with God. Robert and Maurice come back and go, “Nah, we’ll just patch it.” That’s it. No upsell. No hustle. No nonsense. They could’ve easily taken me for a ride—but they didn’t. Fair. Honest. Friendly. Not a single ounce of scummy behavior. Just two real dudes doing right by someone who clearly needed a win that day. In an economy where it feels like everyone is out for a buck, these guys were solid. The kind of guys you’d want in your corner. The boys that got your back when the day’s already kicked you enough. So do yourself a favor. If you ever find yourself hearing that dreaded clack clack clack and need someone you can actually trust, go talk to my guys Robert and Maurice over at Sun State Ford. On the day of the service, I received a call from Don Raymond, the mobile service manager, who quoted me less than the initial quoted price for the battery and installation, which was a pleasant surprise. Caleb the mobile technician/ mechanic came to my house and replaced the old battery in no time! He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions! The whole process was smooth and so convenient at a reasonable price. The battery comes with a 36 month warranty. I will continue to use Sun State Ford’s mobile services when I can in the future. I met with Amanda in the body shop and she put together a competitive quote and was easy to work with and followed up very well. The work was finished ahead of time and looks great. Giving 4 stars only because when I went in to pay and Amanda wasn’t there, the body shop tried to increase the cost by roughly 20% saying more work was needed than anticipated. I mentioned that I worked with Amanda and communicated while my car was there and that all was correct on my original quote. The body shop did honor the original quote from Amanda so I am happy. More
As a girl I’m always afraid to go into a car dealership but I had to go to get some info to repair my car. I went into the Parts Department today and talked to Dave and told me everything I wanted to know and more importantly he listened to me and told me to bring the car there and let the Service Department diagnose exactly what is wrong with it. Yes I know I have to pay for that he told me but they guarantee their work and they won’t just throw expensive parts at it until the car is fixed. And that would save me a lot of wasted money. He also told me if I had any questions in the future to please call him. I now feel better and not afraid anymore. Thanks Dave! Maria More

Terrible customer service and expect unhelpful responses as well. I have a 2018 Ford Focus and when I bought it they said it had a new motor so I bought extended warranty to cover. Car is currently in the shop and has been there for a month now. No communication whatsoever, so I decided to go and see what’s taking so long. Come to find out that because of the mileage I had on the car the repair is no longer under warranty and now I have to pay a lucrative amount of money out of pocket. Went to the used car department to see if we could switch the car because I only had the car for a year and a half. They scoffed and told me I’m out of luck and to either buy a new car or pay for the repair(thanks Reuben). It’s good to know that these people look out for their customers right? I will never do business there again and I hope this helps other people to not go through this situation. Only thing I would recommend is if your car is in need of repair to seek out James because he was the only helpful person in that dealership. More

I purchased a 2019 Ford Fiesta SE here 3 years ago with the expectation that I was getting a reliable vehicle. The car broke down on the side of I95 recently with transmission issues. I did a bit of research and models a few years older than mine are known to have transmission issues. I still owe over $11,000 on this vehicle and the gentleman I spoke with about it basically told me it's my problem to deal with. So now I'm taking public transportation to get around all while still making car payments. Terrible business. More

Sometimes not responding to my texts about my vehicle at all.....Not the mention being unprofessional by hitting on me. My vehicle don't even sound the same when I drive it and the prices are a ridiculous. I had to take my vehicle another mechanic the same day I left the dealer to fix another issue that came up while they were fixing the first issue. When ask how much it was cost to fix the 2nd issue I never got an answer so I took my business somewhere else. More
