From the moment I spoke to Tony Smith on the phone he was receptive to our needs and I knew I wanted to work with him. He had a prior engagement and he even changed his plans to stay at the delaship to meet with us. He was extremely knowledgable and helpful in explaining the different SUV models and options. Rude, abrupt Manager My husband and I just left SUN Buick/ GMC in Wantagh after a family friend told us to go there for an SUV. We were greeted and sat down with a very n My husband and I just left SUN Buick/ GMC in Wantagh after a family friend told us to go there for an SUV. We were greeted and sat down with a very nice sales associate (Andrew) who despite was younger and happened to be somewhat new gave us superb customer service - couldn't be nicer. We had a tough situation regarding trying to get out of a fully loaded car. Andrew was trying to help us out and naturally went to speak with his sales manager, Kevin. Kevin seemed as if he was trying to close a deal for a seasoned sales associate, and was practically ignoring his employee Andrew and us (the customers.) Andrew waited for the conversation between the other sales associate and customer to finish where he simply asked Kevin a question. Before the sentence was finished Kevin abruptly and matter of fact told Andrew that he had to wait. It caught my husband and I totally off guard. We found it to be extremely the rude, brash and ultimately ruined our experience. In addition, the way he spoke to his employee was not acceptable. We honestly felt bad for the way he was spoken to. Rude, insulting and degrading. Kevin walked back to his desk and didn't bother to speak to us regarding the trade in value or to even answer Kevin's initial question. He simply just sat back down behind the glass wall. Regardless if the deal was to work out or not - that's not what this is about. As a manager we would have expected a much better experience and customer service. We could have been long term customers as we will be starting a family soon, and were looking to lease a 2017 Acadia SLT-1. -- Cristina and Joe S. More
