I am the owner and president of Sun Buick - GMC inc. We are truly dismayed by your hurtful statements. It is quite INCORRECT that we "refused" to help you with a potential replacement vehicle (though your car was quickly repaired and goodwill restitution was offered) However, NYS has a legal process and a registered motor vehicle cannot be exchanged like an appliance. You were not present for the meeting and never spoke to me. Unfortunately, your spouse refused to cooperate and patiently sit at my desk long enough to let me guide him. He said he was tired and wanted to go home. I had to ask him to please listen and stop interrupting me several times. NYS has a LEGAL framework for the replacement of a vehicle that a dealership cannot bypass. This is especially true of a car which is LEASED, owned by a bank and already REGISTERED with NYS. A case must be started by the consumer and paperwork must be completed. A simple web search will verify what I have said. I offered my strong support several times but he would not let me continue and angrily walked out after berating me. I only asked for patience and respect but he did not allow me to finish speaking. I still sent him my personal cell # and email address afterwards. He has not responded. You could also add some details. Like the fact that you were immediately assisted that Sunday by David, one of the owners here. I also helped by phone while my son was getting an MRI for a serious injury. We arranged and paid the towing from the parkway for you that same day. You and/or your spouse were then kept well informed by owners and managers thereafter. The Encore was running when it got here and was diagnosed the next morning. It was repaired with a simple fuel injector and our service manager drove it overnight to be certain. Your spouse picked it up Weds freshly re-cleaned with a full tank of fuel. We had also offered to pay for an Uber and a rental car (declined) and a free lease payment. Certainly we regret the misfortune with the lease of your new Encore GX. I do know how stressful and disappointing such an unusual mishap can be. But there is no reason to create a false narrative and offend the fine people helping you. (Insulting us in your other reviews doesn't help either) I doubt you would get this much attention anywhere else. Your review is one of the very few poor ones out of thousands of our great ones on the web. That too should tell you something about our company. But wishing "karma" upon us might sadly say something more about you. What is it that you wish upon us? We can only wish you good health and safe driving. Patrick R. So you’re vehicle broke down on a Sunday and it’s our fault? You paid for the tow because it was 2 days old and died and the tow driver couldn’t get it to start either onstar diagnosed the car as bad fuel injector and not to restart the car and we told them the car wouldn’t start anyway!! Hahaha we spoke to gm directly and they said you are privately owned and you need to make it right not them! And simple search on Google shows dealership can take ownership of the car!! You guys left us out in the cold it’s not right you expect us to stay calm when we came from queens there because we felt safe with someone we leased with before only to learn now that when we need help you turn your back we will contact a lawyer to handle the issue you’re David wasn’t very polite and had a very bad attitude and I did speak to him myself from the highway and I even said you have some nerve to have an attitude and he said no I just walked in you’re dealership is run by children who know nothing on customer service!

Yes, we do expect you and your spouse to stay calm, civil, respectful and patient while we try to help you. We record phone calls for quality like many companies. David was very polite and immediately helpful. He asked you for some information but you were understandably stressed and quickly short with him. My meeting with your spouse in my office was also recorded on video. I'll be sure to save all recordings so others can judge for themselves. I also invite all readers to check the web for the NYS / DMV rules for replacing a leased vehicle for themselves. It is quite clear but the customer does need to cooperate. Lol you guys like to talk but do nothing still we have a car sitting here we refuse to drive I cannot chance getting stuck anywhere with a 4 year old! You told my husband to call gmc to get help and you will back us up gmc said it’s untrue he gave you the persons number and you refused to call but you are afraid of real reviews get it together and stand by your customers this is ridiculous when we broke down and said we really want out of this car we don’t feel safe please get us in the terrain that should have been enough to work on that and only that we paid you! You get us in something we feel better in that’s true customer service 101 stop playing saints you know you dropped the ball on this! David didn’t even know who I was when he picked up the call maybe teach reception to handle and direct calls correctly! Don’t make us out to be irrational we leased a car it died on a dangerous street and it was ur responsibility to get it to your service and when we voiced we didn’t feel safe back in that car you should have responded by we will do what it takes to get u in a lease as for the Uber it’s because we needed a rental cuz we were relying on the lease and we’re now carless and you couldn’t find a gmc car near me to rent for me why did it have to be a gm??!! Get me in a car when ur lease died??!! I’m in queens with my daughter in remote school can’t drop everything to come all the way there when ur car died!! This is all recorded as well don’t threaten me again with your recordings! Hahaha I’m sure people will understand where we are coming from 1 terrible review is more effective than 20 good you burned the bridge when you didn’t work with us! Good luck Sir!
