When I was in for regular checkpoints/oil change/tire rotation on 10/28/2021... I told Cameron Fillmore, the service associate, about a nail in the driver rear tire and to fix it. Instead, they said they rotation on 10/28/2021... I told Cameron Fillmore, the service associate, about a nail in the driver rear tire and to fix it. Instead, they said they didn't find a nail and just rotated it to the front driver position. At that time Cameron also told me I needed new tires and tried to sell me on that idea. A week later I noticed the front tire was losing pressure. The same nail I saw previously was clearly visible. I took a picture of it. After removing the tire myself, I took it to Discount Tire and had it repaired. Discount Tire also told me I did NOT need new tires at all! Shame on the Subaru dealership for sending a 70 year old lady back on the road with a nail in the front tire! It could have been dangerous! However, with a very limited choice of Subaru dealerships in San Diego to honor the extended maintenance warranty we had purchased from the Scottsdale dealership where we bought the Forester, what option do I have but to go back to the El Cajon dealer for maintenance... 🤨 More
They were friendly and thorough, but I wouldn't recommend service for anything other than warrantied work, as pricing was very high (to replace one windshield wiper: $100). May have washed the car but didn't service for anything other than warrantied work, as pricing was very high (to replace one windshield wiper: $100). May have washed the car but didn't vacuum it. Gave free loaner for duration of repairs. More

Very nice service, and prompt speedy attention when handling the recall process with our Subaru. Plus it was no bother to add in the request to download the firmware update for the stereo system as we handling the recall process with our Subaru. Worst experience ever, I am being jerked around left and right, trying to get my car fixed but they apparently sent back the parts. They give me no estimation as to when the vehicle would be done, and provi right, trying to get my car fixed but they apparently sent back the parts. They give me no estimation as to when the vehicle would be done, and provided no loaner so now I am ubering back and forth to my minimum wage job. Oh and after they told me an electrical repair would cost $800, and is not covered by warranty even though the car is less than 3 years old, she asked “do you want the repair or not”, she said she’d figure everything out and call me back in 30 minutes. Its been longer than that. Worst customer service ever, feeling helpless and like my car will never get fixed. I wish i never bought a subaru and I really dont want to return to this dealership. More
As always, Subaru El Cajon was very accommodating reflected in their service personnel. I had an irreparable tire flat last minute, and since I bought my tires from Subaru EC (special order AT tires, reflected in their service personnel. I had an irreparable tire flat last minute, and since I bought my tires from Subaru EC (special order AT tires, under warranty, but not stocked), Angel was able to get my car in for a new tire replacement (had to special order my tire), and provided me with a loaner car (sweet CrossTrek) right before Thanksgiving so I had a vehicle to use and wouldn't disrupt my established travel plans. Very apathetic of my situation, so he insured I was taken care of. Great customer service as always. More
