My Subaru Forester was in for a oil change, lube, tire rotation and a 21 point inspection. The service was completed I less the an hour. The service agent said that everything was fine. Went I arrived home, I received a text message saying that my air and cabin filters were in the RED category. I was very concerned and called the service department. Another service agent said that I can change them at my next service. I was not happy with this kind of communication. I should have been told about the filters when I was there and given the opportunity to replace them during this service. Everything else was great More

The service dept looked into why my alt kept dying. Wanted to charge me $130 plus 2 hours labor (totalling $485) for an $8 part that took me 10 minutes to replace. They also wanted to charge me $130 for an oil change it didn't need, $175 for break fluid service it didn't need, $1500 to replace a rack & pinion they said was leaking, but the oil pan and valve cover are leaking not the gear box, and they didn't notice the oil leaks. They didn't even comment on the blown out rear diff bushings and drive line vibrations, but they claim to have had 2 techs drive it for an hour a piece. All in all they wanted $2700 for various things, half of which the car doesn't need l, And they missed half the issues already known to me. Not impressed. I paid for the diagnostic and picked my car back up. More
