Poor Service I purchased a used F150 and the day I drive off the lot it was making noise and shaking. I took it in the next day to be serviced. I have not even made my first payment and the problem still exists. I took it back again and the manager Wayne says they will not fix it. It will cost me well over $600 to fix it. I will "NEVER" purchase at the Mt. Clemens location again nor will I refer anyone. Wayne knew the truck had this problem when the vehicle was sold to me, but refused to fix it. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! More
I have never had a worse experience in my life. This dealership royally CHEATED and lied to me so many times I honestly can't even count. I was sold a vehicle for over $800 more than they promised/quoted. They then serviced the vehicle and kept if for a week after first being promised it would be done in a day or 2. They lied, and lied, and LIED.... so much that I am honestly disgusted. All that they care about is their sales quota (you may hear claps from the back room after you sign on the dotted line and your salesman goes to turn in the paperwork as I did), and then FORGET any customer service moving forward. I can not even get the sales manager, Ozzy, to return my call. I will be not only contacting, in writing, Ozzy's superior, but his or her superior, and keep moving up the ladder as this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. This matter will also be taken to the BBB, every review site I can find and to Lansing. Also, if you're female - you'll probably get asked to go to the bar after your sale and be called "sweetheart" as well. What a classy touch. BEWARE of this dealership. I would not want even my worst enemy to endure this awful experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where you will actually be treated with an ounce of dignity. More
I was driving down Telegraph Rd on my way to an appointment when my check engine light came on reminding me that I needed an oil change. I am not from this area so I pulled into a big name service appointment when my check engine light came on reminding me that I needed an oil change. I am not from this area so I pulled into a big name service shop place, across the street from the Kia dealership on Elizabeth Lake Rd to see if I could get my oil changed there. I did not have a lot of time so I asked if they could help me. I was told, "sure if you have a couple hours" as the man laughed as if that was supposed to be funny for me. I did not have that much time so I thought I would try across the street. I was greeted by the sales manager named "Ozzie" who was incredibly helpful. I asked if I could get my oil changed and that I was in a bit of a hurry so he smiled and said, "no problem sir, I understand and will get you taken care of right away. He walked me over to the service manager which I thought was great, since most people would have pointed and said it's over there somewhere once he realized I was not looking for a new car. I think the service manager's name was Jeff that he introduced me to. He treated me so well, that I thought he mistook me for a longtime client or at least as someone who bought their car from them, which I had not. He asked for my keys and he went right to my car and pulled it into the service center. I looked in their shop which seemed to be very busy and thought wow, I can't believe he pulled my car right in. Every bay was full and he had a technician looking at me car immediately. After about 20 minutes, he called my name and I came up to the counter. He explained to me that while they did the oil change on my car that the Tech also noticed a nail in my rear passenger side tire. He went on to explain that they took care of that as well and I was all set. I paid for the oil change which was less expensive than the place across the street that does oil changes and he fixed my tire for free. I couldn't believe it! I went back to him to say thank you and let him know how much I enjoyed the Kia service experience and appreciated the quick and special service they gave me. He merely smiled and said "thank you sir, but we really didn't do anything special, this is just the way we service all of our clients". He also said, if you need any other service please keep us in mind. I would NEVER go anywhere other than to Summit Place Kia to get my service work done. I live about 30 minutes away and would drive 2 hours for that kind of service. you just don't get that kind of service anymore. WELL DONE Kia. Thank You! Curtis Shewell More

I came in the first time a year ago and worked with jason and ozzie they were both fair and patient. the second time i came in a week ago i worked with andrew, very sweet guy. He takes a personal interest in you and helps you according to your needs. If the price is not right they will work with you because that is what they did for me. Will i be back? oh yes i will. don't let me forget mike and derrick in the service deptment, what a wonderful group of guys. More
This is the third car I have purchased at Summit Place Kia. The first time I visited the dealership, I was frustrated with car shopping. From the moment I walked into Summit Place Kia I felt like I was their only customer although the showroom was very busy with other customers. My visit this time was no different. My purpose for visiting this time was to have service take a look at my Rio. The gentlemen in the service area were very attentive and immediately greeted me, listened to my concern and immediately started checking my car. The warning light on my dash indicated a problem with one of the tires. They found it right away and took it in to fix it. While they worked on the tire, I visited the show room just to see what was happening there. Again, I was greeted with a smile and handshake and Cody asked if I needed any help. I could see a used Sorento outside the showroom window and asked about it. I have wanted a Sorento for a very long time. I was able to talk to Ozzie and let him know where I needed to be for a payment. Ozzie suggested I take the Sorento for a ride and he would see what he could come up with. I drove it, fell in love and came back drooling. Jack introduced himself and walked me back to the showroom. I could write a book about the team at Summit Place Kia. They are all truly genuine, caring, respectful, kind and professional people. They work hard to provide excellent service before and after the purchase of a vehicle. It has been my pleasure to send friends and family into this awesome business. My visit ended with me purchasing a 2011 Sorento. I officially own my 3rd Kia and I know I will return for my 4th and then my 5th and then......... I do not see my relationship with Summit Place Kia ending. Cody was very respectful on my budget and which car I was looking for. With my credit I didnt think I could get anything, before I knew It i was driving a kia optima! Cody did exactly what he said. The car price itself was rolled up just under four thousand dollars and was explained initially as a finance fee. After that lie was busted by the finance company, I was told something else. I was unlucky as I did not follow my gut by sleeping on the deal and the paperwork. Mostly I am bothered by the purchase because I could have gotten more features in the car given the price I am paying. Worse is that the dealership won't make it right, because of course, they got lucky and got over on me. Each time I go in there (for service), I think I leave angry or at the very least, disgusted. Their treatment in the service department is sub-par and I do much better with the local shops. I hope others have better experiences with them. At the most I just find them completely untrustworthy, but who should trust a car salesman, right? More

My wife and I came to Summit Place Kia in Waterford on Fri 11-11-11 after having a bad experience at Jeffery Kia in Roseville on thurs 11-10-11. We were immediately greeted by Ryan who answered our questions about the optima that we were looking at, which happened to be the hard to find blue color that I wanted. He got keys and let us checkout the inside. We mentioned our low trade-in price that Jeffery quoted us on our current vehicle and he said that in only 15-20 mins he could have their people give us a price for it. We said sure since Jeffery took an hour to do that quote. Sure enough they came up with a much better price in only 15 mins that I agreed was a fair trade-in value. So we went inside to talk about payments. I was given a quote on the new optima but didn't have time that evening to finish the sale with Ryan, his sales manager Ozzie did come talk to us before we left. He guanteed us that he would get us the payment that we wanted, I told him we'd be back on sat 11-12-11. We came back on sat and worked with Ryan and Ozzie, they got our payment that we wanted and we bought it. We are really glad we came to Summit. We really liked Ryan and Ozzie. Very friendly and honest staff. They didn't hide any numbers from us, they explained every charge on the bill of sale. I will definately be recommending them to anybody I know thats interested in a Kia. More
WOW!! What a bad dealership!! When I purchased my brand new Forte EX from the dealer in Waterford, the dealership seemed to be fair and have somewhat decent customer service. Well, becuase I have to return to the dealer for Oil Changes, Warranty, and recalls, I realized just how bad this company treats people! They will do anything to get you to purchase a vehicle, but after that its all down hill. The Service Manger - a female (not sure on her name) is the WORST! Always rude and makes me extremely uncomfortable. To say the least...I feel physically sick when I know I have to go to this dealer to get my car serviced. She should be fired; there are so many other people who could easily do her job and do it while having good customer service. RUDE RUDE RUDE! Oh, and just a tip - their online appointment scheduler for service doesn't work and hasn't since I bought my car (8/2010) and they are aware, just they just don't care period. Stay away from this dealer. I plan on giving all bad customer reviews all over the web and anywhere else this dealership comes up. Rude/trashy people!!! More
