Oil change Got there about 15 minutes early. Took me in right away. Confirmed service. Scheduled appt. on-line, but appt. was not in the system, took more than 2 Got there about 15 minutes early. New 2019 RAV 4 Groaning No Cause identified or Corrected At 5000 mile check up I reported a groaning noise. The car was taken for a drive, no noise heard by mechanic and no problem identified. I reported continuing to hear the groaning And brought it back in as advised. I recorded the groaning noise with my phone and the service person was able to hear it. The mechanic took my car out again and heard the noise. They also drove another RAV 4 from the lot and did not hear any groaning so I was told the Toyota tech specialist was called and would be in to resolve the problem and I would be contacted to set up that appointment. The next day however I was told 2 other same model cars were tested and they DID make this groaning sound but they had "no idea what was causing it and neither did the tech so they also have no fix at this time."seems to be running the way it should, just the nature of the beast and there is no safety issue." I am NOT satisfied that there is no safety issue or proper function as the cause has NOT been identified! I cannot believe a new car would be designed to make a frequent and becoming more frequent groan! Personnel and facility seem to be good HOWEVER I still have a new car with a problem that has NOT been diagnosed and corrected and seems to be getting worse. This survey will not allow me to submit without checking a "yes or no" for recommending the dealership so I am giving it a "yes" in hopes the car's problem will be identified and solved! I liked the fact that my seat was covered in plastic to prevent staining during the service. My only request is for someone to periodically update me as to how much longer I had to wait. I was told it would be an hour wait for the oil change and rotation. An inspection was added to the service, but I wasn't told that I would have to wait a total of two hours and 15 min. A little communication goes a long way toward patient satisfaction. More
