We initially came in for service on an older XC70 Volvo, but unfortunately found significant repairs were needed. So we looked at sales and fell in love w/ a 2011 XC90. We chose to take the money we would have spent on keeping the older wagon going and apply it towards the new model. At *every* turn we found Suburban Volvo's service and sales staff exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and supportive as we wrestled with this decision (one doesn't abandon their old XC70 'friend' lightly!). We were offered an excellent price on the XC90 (we did MSRP versus dealer cost price comparisons on-line to confirm), received a good trade-in price, a Volvo loyalty discount, and tremendous help in walking us through the entire purchase process. The sales team simply could not do enough to make this as easy on us as possible. As our family's fourth-time Volvo purchase, this experience was truly the most outstanding and positive of all. Our appreciation goes out to Suburban Volvo for creating a friendly atmosphere that is completely the opposite of the stereotypical high-pressure sales scenarios one hears about. When finished, we felt we were dealing with family and not simply conducting a business transaction. We will certainly be coming back for service on the XC90 and sales for our daughter's Volvo in the future! More
Joe was extrememly helpful, from beginning to end. Most of the negotiating on the deal was done over the phone and they worked very hard to put the deal together for us before we drove the 220 miles to the dealership. I looked for several months to find this particular model car at a price I could afford and Suburban Volvo beat every other offer by a lot. I definitely will return to Suburban in the future and will recommend them to family and friends. More

Mark was an extremely through and friendly sales man. I loved the experience that I had here. Everyone was friendly and willing to go the extra mile to put me behind the drivers seat. They worked with my budget to help me put a payment in my price range. The prices are marked and no negotiation is needed. They are the best and most competitive in the market. This is the dealership to go to and know you have a good deal. It made it so east to buy the car. As my first car purchase it was so easy. I hope they are all as easy as this. This dealership is one of the BEST in Metro Detroit. I cannot wait to do business with this dealership again! More

I wrote a review on this dealership a few days earlier and had included a story of how the car we test drove, and agreed to purchase had different rims then the car we were given. The change was not noti and had included a story of how the car we test drove, and agreed to purchase had different rims then the car we were given. The change was not noticed until I got home from being out of town as my wife picked up the car and did not take note. When I went into the dealership to inquire about the change in rims I was told that this was not the case. I then showed the dealer a photo of the car rims I had taken with my phone on the day of our test drive and they infact commented that those rims are in fact different then the ones we got on our car. There response was that I must have taken a picture of the wrong car. They then offered to take me out onto the lot to look at the car that I may have mixed up with the one that we bought. When we went out to look there were no cars in my make or color on the lot and the dealer seemed puzzled. I did not argue any further with the dealer as he was insistant that changing of the rims was not something that happens. I relayed to the manager that neither the sales person whom we negotiated the sale with nor he were at the dealership the day we picked up the car (a Saturday). It seemed to me as though he did not even bother to talk with the associates that were working on Saturday to see if this may of happened. I was treated as if I was crazy for thinking that this may have occured. I would have assumed that a costumer that has purchased a car previuosly at your dealership, who's family members have purchased a car at your dealership and who brings their car in for service at your dealership would be treated as a valued customer. This was not the case as Suburban Volvo. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and I myself will be taking my car to Dwyer and Sons in Novi. More
