Answered my questions Mr. Spurgeon answered my questions about what maintenance work my Civic needed. He did not push unnecessary maintenance work at me. Airbag Replacement I made an online appointment to have my airbag replaced on 5/23/15 and showed up promptly at that time only to be told there was nothing in their syst I made an online appointment to have my airbag replaced on 5/23/15 and showed up promptly at that time only to be told there was nothing in their system for this appointment. However, they agreed to do the service anyway and two hours later I left with a replacement airbag inflaterr. There was a little mix up in communications but the service manager took care of my concerns More
Not a routine visit I visited Suburban Honda for a routine Oil change on Saturday, 5/9/15... The first sign that this was not going to be a routine visit was when I ask m I visited Suburban Honda for a routine Oil change on Saturday, 5/9/15... The first sign that this was not going to be a routine visit was when I ask my service adviser, David J, about what would it take to update my navigation system (time, cost, etc). You see, the other day I received a coupon in the mail stating that if I updated the system before July, I would get a discount. David stated, a) he don't know how long it will take ("... it could be 2hr. It could be 4hrs...") and b) "..In the past, the systems that Suburban upgraded, did not work well.." I was thinking to myself, I'm not sure what this guys motives were, but he just brought my confidence level in Suburban down to zero. So, after that conversation I took my seat in the lounge. Approximately, 45mins later David approached me and stated that a nail was found in my rear driver side tire. It is not repairable and must be replaced. He assured me that they have the tire in stock. Naturally, I complied. and $240.00 later my car was complete (cost included oil change). As I approached my freshly washed car I noticed the new tire did not match the other three tires. When I ask David and another adviser, why the difference, they both assured me the mismatch is fine. They stated that Michelin had discontinued the Primacy 225/R60 15 tire and the Latitude tour was it's replacement. I said ok and left. I immediately called Michelin and they confirmed the discontinued tire. But they was concerned about the mismatch.That was a no no for a 4 wheel drive car. Michelin stated that they will call Suburban and see why they allowed the mismatch and if they will honor a warranty.. Michelin stated that they spoke to "Bob" and he did not know what they was talking about. Since my tires were still under warranty Michelin was able to give me a credited discount on three additional tires to match the one Suburban replaced. Now I have matched tires. My biggest issue with David is his lack of understanding of the basics on keeping a costumer. I'm not sure if he's new but he should have, at the very least, informed me that I will be getting a mismatched tire. I had to set aside time during the week to fix that mistake. And, he convinced me not to have Suburban do the upgrade on my navigation system. More
Excellant customer service I have been to a few Honda service dealerships and I always keep Surburban as my home shop. From the minute I walk in, I am greeted, either for immed I have been to a few Honda service dealerships and I always keep Surburban as my home shop. From the minute I walk in, I am greeted, either for immediate support or a smile and "I'll be right with you". I always am acknowledged. I like how the complete history of my vehicles is just a click away. From my current Accord to my 11 year old Civic (yes, I still have it as a second GREAT car). Everything is explained, options are offered to either have the service done this time or next if it is not immediately necessary. And I really like the 21 point FREE inspection on every visit. The service people are great and very gracious. Never a bad experience. More
