Went to have a seat belt buckle serviced because the seat belt would not latch and lock on my Grand caravan minivan. I dropped it off at 5 pm, waited 2 hours for the job to be complete. I was charged $65 for belt would not latch and lock on my Grand caravan minivan. I dropped it off at 5 pm, waited 2 hours for the job to be complete. I was charged $65 for 1/2 hour work to have a candy wrapper removed from the buckle. Who can sleep charging $65 to remove a a candy wrapper froma seat belt lock? I should have known better, because when I droped it off, they were charing some poor old man $50 to do a check engine light check, snd they could not tell him what was wrong. I wish I would have told him he should go to autozone and have it done for free. More
I was dealing with another Dodge dealer for over a month. I was looking to buy a new Advenger and turn in my lease. The other dealer kept telling me they could Not find the car I wanted with the options and I was looking to buy a new Advenger and turn in my lease. The other dealer kept telling me they could Not find the car I wanted with the options and the color I wanted.I started to get angry because I wanted to BUY and notlease any more and I wanted another Advanger beacause I had Liked my Advanger that I had leased for the past 3 yrs. I began to look at other dealers, Chevrolet and Ford. My heart was still wanting the Dodge but I came to the conculsion that I would probably end up getting a Chevrolet because my lease was coming due. Then I began looking on my own and I called Suburban and Rick answered the phone, and Boy! within 24 hours not only did I have the EXACT car I wanted but I had bought it and was driving it home. I would definately and have allready recommended your dealership. Rick LaRue found me everything I had wanted, he's a great person , friendly and will go out of his way for you. Thank you Rick and the dealership ! I am happy and I have bought what I wanted. More
I took my vehicle in for a 9:30 am appointment on a Friday. After waiting 3 hrs, no one had given me any updates on my vehicle. I returned to service desk to ask for update and waited for 15-20 minutes Friday. After waiting 3 hrs, no one had given me any updates on my vehicle. I returned to service desk to ask for update and waited for 15-20 minutes for my lane manager to return just to tell me the mechanic hadn't provided any updates. When he returned from speaking with mechanic, I was informed that the mechanic thought my issues may be related to bad gas and that he'd need to get a fuel sample in order to confirm & that I need brakes which he believed explained the rattling noise I was hearing, but he would have to check on rotors. I insisted that I did not believe it was bad gas nor did I think the rattling was brake related. I waited another 30 minutes for the mechanic to actually run diagnostics on my vehicle wherein he found that there was some issue with the engine, but could not indicate what without tearing my engine down. I was told it would be able to be looked at until Monday at that point because I was unable to wait any longer. I was there a total of 4 hrs and had no repairs or actual work performed on my vehicle. I had my vehicle towed back the next day (Saturday) so that it would be there 1st thing Monday. Monday came and past and I received no word on my vehicle. Tuesday morning came and past, still no word. I called the dealer after 4 pm on Tuesday and was asked if I was sure my vehicle was there. Then after locating it, I was asked if it was dropped off Monday. I indicated it had been there since Saturday and was placed on hold to get a status. When the lane manager returned he indicated that the mechanic saw something going on with the oil in the vehicle, but he would need to tear the vehicle down more to determine what was the cause. I later received a call asking if I had the receipt to my oil change service provider. I delivered it to the dealer in person the next day, along with the receipts for the past year. I was told that they wanted to ensure I had not used a know service that had used bad oil in the past. I had not used the same service. I then had to authorize to have the oilpan removed in order to root cause further. I authorized it. Again, I waited for a service update, but received none by 2:30pm Thursday, so I contacted the dealer AGAIN. This time I was asked if my call could be returned. After 45 minutes I received a return call informing me that my oil was containmented and that I would need a new engine. I was told that there was a possibility that if I used Valvoline oil and had my oil changed in June, I received a bad batch of oil based on reports that the service manager had heard. I asked to speak to the service manager and waited over 15 minutes but he was never located. The mechanic did take me back to see my vehicle and indicated that he felt the oil was containmented & that was the only explanantion for my issue. I asked for an estimate for repairs. None was readily available, so I asked for one to be faxed to me. I went to my oil change service provider & asked them to verify what oil was used in my vehicle. I was told that their I received their basic oil, which is a Penzoil product, not Valvoline as suspected by the dealership. My oil change service provider has signage that shows they carry the Valvoline brand which I mentioned to the dealership. However, they are not an exclusive Valvoline provider. They also carry Quaker State, Penzoil, Castrol & Mobile 1. I contacted the dealership back to inform them that Valvoline was not used, to inquire about the estimate that was faxed to me & to insure that the only cause could be containmented oil. I left a message around 6 pm. However, it was not returned and service was open until 9 pm today. While I am not happy about the prospect of having to pay for my engine to be replaced, in my mind that is not as bad as the idea of having to continue to deal with this service department. They have not been timely at all in regards to getting back to me on the status of my vehicle or discussing next steps. Each time I have had to contact them and they have had my vehicle almost a full business week! I would have preferred to know my status and would have elected to pay to have the engine replaced on my own by now rather than to be without a vehicle for what looks like it will be 2 weeks at this point. It is my true belief that my vehicle was not truly worked on for the first time until today, which is unacceptable. More
