Pricing was a non-factor as I had a Chrysler employee discount so I didn't have to haggle or do anything with negotiating pricing - it is all cut and dry with the employee pricing. However, the one thing that caught me off guard and was the only thing that I disliked, was during the financing paperwork process (which was done with someone else, not with my salesperson Rick), there was a $299 fee tacked on for some sort of interior stain protection which I did not see on the vehicle's window sticker or mentioned on any other sort of paperwork that was on the window sticker, and I was never told it was "installed". Had I not asked what this $299 fee was that had no description to it in the finance paperwork, I don't think they would have told me about it either. But again this was during the finance phase when we were working with someone from their finance department. More
My experience with this dealer has been a good experience. This is my third Jeep and because of the changes in the Jeep, I decided to continue with the Jeep. The salesperson, Joe Bellomo, was most helpful in explaining the features of the new Jeep while at the same time introducing me to others in the dealership who gave me other explanations regarding the pricing and other features not readily visable. This dealership was misleading on what was covered by the powertrain warranty, resulting in a $65 fee for diagnosis. The component that was quoted to repair the work was priced at $150 on the quote; to find powertrain warranty, resulting in a $65 fee for diagnosis. The component that was quoted to repair the work was priced at $150 on the quote; to find out I could buy it from the parts department for $25. They charged me for electrical wiring, when there was no electrical wiring done. It took a meeting with the service director to straighten out the situation, and even then there was no admittance to fault or poor service. This seems par for the course for this dealership. In the end I was refunded my money, but not the 8 hours of work that I missed for an issue most would consider a warranty issue. In the end I replaced the part myself right in the driveway of the dealership. If you can, do it yourself. If not, find another dealership. Although the dealership was very busy, my wife and I received prompt and courteous attention. When we had to wait our turn in the purchase process the staff made sure we were comfortable. Phil Black is the nicest guy to work with. Detail oriented and makes you feel like your questions are important. I have bought/leased two Town and Country's from him and he gets me all the features oriented and makes you feel like your questions are important. I never had to wonder what was going on throughout the whole process because Jim kept me updated the whole time. I have never had a salesperson keep in that close of contact with me! I gave the dealership all "5" ratings for a number of reasons. When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile by the receptionist who pointed me in the direction I needed to go. I have previously been to this dealership when I leased a Saturn Aura, so given the wonderful experience I had the first time I wanted to come back and do business with Suburban Dodge. I had to men help me named Dane Taylor and Robert Tabet who were two of the most helpful sales associates I have ever dealt with. They worked with me to find a new car within my budget and allowed me to test drive a number of vehicles while going through, in detail, about all the features. As a first time car buyer they made me feel very comfortable with my decision and they allowed me to take my time while making my decision. Once I have settled on the 2011 Dodge Avenger LUX they both worked with me to assure I was getting the best deal they had to offer. Robert and Dane both took the time to go over all my different options and what would benefit me most in the long run. I am very very satisfied with my car, and certainly more then grateful for the wonderful experience I had while buying my first car. I would without a doubt refer future customers to Dane Taylor and Robert Tabet seeing as they were the most helpful throughout this whole experience. More
