Worst service experience After replacing the engine block on my Forester (new car had a high oil consumption which is a know problem in '14 Foresters) they left the alternator After replacing the engine block on my Forester (new car had a high oil consumption which is a know problem in '14 Foresters) they left the alternator with an abnormal noise. After a second visit they fixed the alternator but forgot to install 3 bolts. The car was making a rattling noise so I returned for a 3rd time. The service manager attributed the noise to normal heat shield vibration. Bottomline, I had to look myself and found that two of these bolts were supposed to secure a front plastic cover under the engine and the third was preventing the exhaust pipe to vibrate (what was causing the rattling noise). From start to finish, looking at the cars that I though would work through the test drive and last but not least completing the deal, was professional, friendly and very very easy. I worked with Al Mazin who provided excellent service. as anticipated I am really enjoying my vehicle having put more than a few miles on it. My new Forester is comfortable to drive, with excellent visibility , comfort and turning radius. It's great! the stars below don't seem to be working for me, but you can tell from my review that they would all b 5 star! More

When I chose my car he made sure I knew how to use all the features before taking it home. I really enjoyed the relaxed and professional atmosphere at this dealership. Friendly, enjoyable experience I last purchased a car in 2002, and that was a Saturn, a big selling point of which for me was not having to haggle with dealerships. So I wasn't exactly looking forward to the process. I shopped around online and found a vehicle at Subaru of Wakefield that seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I corresponded with the dealership via email to clarify a few questions I had, then set up an appointment to test drive the car. Crazy summer traffic made me very late for my appointment, but I was nonetheless treated courteously, and quickly assigned to salesman Justin Grant. Justin was very friendly and helpful, and really went above and beyond to make the whole process as easy and pleasant for me as possible. He took a lot of time explaining all of my new car's features to me, helped me synch my phone to the car's Bluetooth, and even transferred the stuff in the trunk of my trade-in into my new vehicle. The whole experience was much less painful than expected, and Justin was really great to work with. More

Found me a car in pre-production queue. I used my AAA membership to locate Subaru dealers who would give a AAA discount when buying a new car. There were three in my area. It was in April I used my AAA membership to locate Subaru dealers who would give a AAA discount when buying a new car. There were three in my area. It was in April that I decided I wanted a Subaru Legacy Premium, with the ivory interior. The first dealer I visited didn't have this with the options I wanted, and told me I would have to wait and order a 2016 model, because the 2015 model run was sold out. I continued watching the Subaru of New England inventory online, somewhat considering other color choices I might be willing to compromise on. One of these possibilities turned up at Subaru of Wakefield (also one of the AAA discount dealers), so I called and went over to see it. I was introduced to Jason Matte. The blue color in question didn't appeal to me, and Jason offered to check pre-production inventory to see if he could find exactly what I wanted. Quite surprisingly, he did just that, in a few minutes spent in private with his sales manager. They arranged to swap a Legacy with black interior they were scheduled to receive, for a Legacy Premium with ivory interior that another dealer was scheduled to receive. Neither of these cars had even been manufactured yet! Moreover, my car came in about ten days earlier than Jason had estimated from knowing the production schedule. I also appreciate he gave us a very thorough orientation, with our car running, to the electronic implementation of controls in the Legacy, including the EyeSight vision assist technology. Our experience with Subaru of Wakefield has been beyond my expectations. The only negative was I was disappointed to find the basic warranty is only 3 years/36,000 miles (other makes are often 6/60,000 or more). I was persuaded to buy the 7/70,000 extended coverage, but feel the pricing of this is a little squishy (depending upon how much you want to be able to think it over before deciding). You can't take overnight to think about buying it, but can cancel it anytime within 90 days of signing on, More than likely it is Subaru of America that has the heavy hand here, not the dealer. More
