A dealership that doesn't like to sell cars My sister is in the market to replace her 2007 Camry. She's tried a few other brands such as Kia and Honda and felt she should try Subaru. She went to visit last week and was greeted by a cold salesman. He asked her which brand she liked so far, she said Kia, and he said she should just go buy the Kia. Not knowing anything about her he just assumed that she couldn't afford a new car and would only show her used cars. And for whatever reason he made it exceptionally difficult for her to even test drive a car to the point that he made her wait over 20 minutes to get the car ready for a test drive. At that point my sister got fed up and left the dealership without even test driving the car. Don't go here - it's a huge waste of time. More
Didn't give a fair price for a car for sale I went to Subaru to get a price estimate for my Subaru Crosstrek that I bought from them two years ago and want to sell. After Joseph Barbagallo saw I went to Subaru to get a price estimate for my Subaru Crosstrek that I bought from them two years ago and want to sell. After Joseph Barbagallo saw it and drove the car, he gave me an estimate that was $2,000 below the Kelley Blue Book value and stayed firm on the price, saying that because it's a stick shift it's much harder to sell. Days later, my husband contacted the sales team again to get a second estimate for that same car. He got a fair price value, $2,000 more than what they gave me. Hmmmm.... what changed, other than the seller's profile (me, a French female vs. my husband, an American male)? Discrimination anyone? My husband called the manager to point that out: they lied saying that they never saw the car when I brought it and started yelling as a way of defending themselves. Won't do business with them again. More

However, when we sat in the finance manager's office, it was not a pleasant experience. After we declined the offer to extend warranty (Because we got a used small car and we trust Subaru is a very reliable brand), his face turned very quickly and made us feel very uncomfortable. He was also kind of rude to Al when he asked Al to come back to pick us up. So, except this part, in general, it was pleasant dealing with this dealer. More
