Arriving at the dealership was very calming as they didn't have sales people out there jumping down your throat as soon as you got out of your car. Once I got there I was set up with Andrew Fenno in sales. He was very laid back with no pressure. He was very straight forward and was very accommodating as I had my 4 and 7yo in Tow. The kids were able to hang out in a small kid area and have a few bags of popcorn with some water. After coming to a excellent deal I was handed off to Chris Robertson the business manager. Again there was no pressure to purchase any extra warranty or anything of the sort. He was very straightforward and professional. I searched for about a month for the right vehicle and I am glad that I made the one hour drive down to Wakefield to Subaru. More

After going to many other dealerships and dealing with their rude behavior, we were about to quit looking for one. On our last ( but should have been our first ) dealership ,Subaru of wakefield we were greeted by a wonderful salesman Billy Calendrello, . Instantly shook our hands and seated us at his desk. Smiling and happy and pleasant , he asked us how he could help us , talking with him he helped us discover our car a beautiful blue 2016 Subaru forrester . What a delight he was , there was no doubt we made the right decision with him. Expertise and knowledge of the car was evident with him and reassurance of the quality of Subaru was outstanding with him. A truly great salesman and a credit to the SUBARU family . Would not trust this sales force. A first time new car buyer, It was explained to Kenny and Billy immediately that the purchase was contingent on being able to take ownership of the ve A first time new car buyer, It was explained to Kenny and Billy immediately that the purchase was contingent on being able to take ownership of the vehicle by a specific date, and that the monthly payments had to be under a specific dollar amount. We had already worked with another dealership and had a car lined up that could meet those criteria, but My daughter was a little more interested in a Subaru. After working with Kenny and Billy, they assured us it could be done. Although the color vehicle would have to be brought in, Kenny promised in his most convincing and sincere manner that he would not let us down (I accompanied my daughter In case she needed someone to co sign to get a better interest rate. However, my daughter was offered the lower rate with no questions asked.) Only after returning to the dealership after work on a Sunday, over a week later, after the deadline that she needed the vehicle had passed, and finding it was not ready, and then returning home, did she find out she wasn’t eligible for the lower interest rate! Not only was the car not ready, it was going to be thousands of dollars more costly! Kenny had sold us a line of BS, and Billy was totally unable to do anything to help us. That caused me to have to travel two hours back to co sign (which could have been done when I was originally there! ) When we returned to pick up the vehicle, which we were told would be ‘quick’ it was a organizational mess! There were three separate sales slips with three different prices with different VIN numbers and even interest rates were different. It was like a shell game! Fortunately my daughter picked up on it and the correct papers were re written. All of this cost her thousands of dollars in car rentals, air fare, and missed work. And when I complained to the manager of the dealership, not only did he not apologize, he tried to shift the blame! I would never do business with this dealership again. I hate to even give them a 1. The only positive in all of this was the young woman who worked as a greeter in the dealership, who, in the midst of all these frustrating and incompetent people, was warm and attempted to be helpful, although there was nothing she could do. More

Then, because I had no choice but to take my car back to a Subaru dealer, against my better judgment, I called Subaru of Wakefield back to see if I could get a loaner car while mine was being fixed. I asked for the service manager, thinking I couldn't possible be treated as badly by the manager as I was by his underlings. Boy, was I wrong!! Nemo, the service manager got on the phone. One of the first things he did was bring up my google review. I was shocked, it was as if he'd JUST read it, since he recognized my name. He almost immediately said to me "I read your Google review, and here you are, bad-mouthing us on one hand and looking for help on the other." All I could reply was "wow!" He replied "yah, 'wow' is right. There are plenty of other Subaru dealers you can give your business to". I was in shock... It took me three days, but I'd finally reached the store manager, Sal Babagallo, to report my horrendous encounters with his staff. Surprisingly, he was just as rude himself, questioning ME and practically calling me a liar... I'd rather junk my (fairly new) car than to ever have to step foot in there again. I don't know how they stay in business. If you want to be treated badly and you don't really give a hoot if your car is correctly diagnosed, then go to Subaru of Wakefield. I'll be driving over an hour, but I'll will be taking my business to AUTOFAIR SUBARU OF HAVERHILL, where the customer service has been exemplary. They listened to me and therefore correctly diagnosed my car. Their customer service is excellent. Check them out. They know how to listen and correctly diagnose a car, and they certainly know how to treat people right. More
