We went to Subaru of Wakefield because the dealership had been recommended by a friend. We ended up purchasing a used Forester and within DAYS of bringing it home we had to bring it back because it was over been recommended by a friend. We ended up purchasing a used Forester and within DAYS of bringing it home we had to bring it back because it was overheating due to crack in the engine block. Since then, we have had nothing but problems with the car. The service department regularly overcharges and DOES NOT FIX the problem the first {or second!} time. During our last unsatisfactory visit there were several other customers waiting to complain about their service. Whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE OR GET YOUR CAR SERVICED WITH SUBARU OF WAKEFIELD!!!!! More

This car is my third new vehicle purchase at this Subaru dealership. Al Mazin deftly handled the sales logistics for my most recent purchase. When the car which came with a different rear mirror option he personally tracked down the most knowledgeable service tech to get the compass mirror we had selected installed before we picked up the car. This is the second new car my family has bought in 2 months from John Cheshire at Subaru of Wakefield. He is very personable and helpful. I have had all negative experiences at other dealerships, including another Subaru dealership, but Subaru of Wakefield has turned things around. Everyone is polite and friendly where they show in their actions that they want you to get the best deal on a car. I will absolutely send my friends and family to this dealership, especially to see John C. The first purchase was by my 80-year old grandfather during a freezing cold day. John literally brought up the exact car my grandfather had wanted within steps of the front door so that my grandfather did not have to walk outside that much. He was very patient with my grandfather throughout the entire process. When my family and I went to John to pick up the new Legacy, my grandfather had mentioned that soon I would be looking into buying a small SUV. John told me about the upcoming 2014 Forester that would be coming out soon. He only spent a minute or two telling me about this car, but it made a lasting impact. Fast forward to last week. I called John to see if I could come in to take a look at a Forester and he was able to fit me in at the end of his shift. He even stayed after his shift was over to finish up the paperwork after we made a deal. The Forester I wanted was literally just sent to another dealer that morning and he was going to try the following morning to get it back. The very next day he called first thing in the morning with the good news that he was able to obtain the car. Next step was to try to set up a time for me to come pick up the car, which was tricky as I was going out of state in 2 days so I really only had one day to get it. This day just so happened to be John's day off. He told me that he would come in first thing on his day off so he could show me the car and I could get it. I was so thankful that he would take time during his day off to allow me to pick up my new car. I spent his time going over all of the components to the 2014 Forester and helped me set up my BlueTooth! I know that if my grandfather or I ever have any issues with our new Subarus, that John will be right there with us in solving them (which I don't forsee any). More

I received a call back one day after leaving an online inquiry, Negotiated the price over the phone and made an appointment. The rep was standing outside when I arrived and brought me right to the car I inquiry, Negotiated the price over the phone and made an appointment. The rep was standing outside when I arrived and brought me right to the car I selected from inventory, We talked about the car in detail and I took it for a test drive. While I was already sure I was going to purchase a Subaru- and I beleive the sales rep was too- I was not rushed to the sale. The employee went over the importance of feeling comfortable driving the car and making sure it met my needs, When I went to pick up the vehicle I was given a tour of the dealership and met many of the people I will interact with when servicing my car in the future. I appreciated that especially since it was busy Saturday. We also spent quite a bit of time in the car going over the different features. It was an all around great experience. I would recomment this dealer. I also sent an inquiry to the Subaru dealership in Belmont 2 times. The first time was a month before I contacted the Wakefield location and did not hear back until I received en email -not a phone call- 2 weeks after I purchased from Wakefield. More
