No respect for the customer My wife and I stopped by for a test drive on 5/27/2015. When we got into the vehicle (2015 Subaru Outback), it was very low on gas, which we mentioned to the sales person. He insured us that it would be ok and it was still enough of gas. In a couple of miles we stopped to switch with the wife as she also wanted to drive the car. I chose to stop at gas station and suggested that we would get some gas. The sales person again said that we would be ok and we left the gas station. We ran out of gas a couple of miles later and within 4-5 miles range from the dealership. The sales person apologized and called the dealership manager for somebody to bring us gas. We had a sales person who worked in the dealership less than two days and we tried to understand and not to complain at first. However, we had to wait 50 minutes for somebody to drive 4-5 miles from the dealership to us...It took us 3-4 mins to get back to the dealership once the dealership mechanic came and gave us some fuel. Can you imagine wasting 50 minutes sitting on a parkway??? The economy of scale gives an opportunity for big dealerships not to take care of each and every customer as they will have good sales anyways. The don't value others time and have no respect to the customers as they don't need to work hard to reach their sales plans just because people come anyways... Please make your educated choice and don't waste your time. More
Worst experience with a Sale Rep. So I came into the dealership hoping to buy a wrx with a trade in. I was introduced to a sales person name Bill. I am keeping his last name out because I know he has a family to feed. Before we looked at my trade-in he was looking for his clipboard and was swearing ( unprofessional). Later, after we finish looking at the trade, he wanted to find out the wheel size to get it appraised. He took about 5- 10 mins looking for the wheel size, and when he came back he smelled like he went for a smoke. Really?? you can't wait for your smoke break? The next thing is the most annoying thing ever. He received a phone call from a potential customer about a forester. While i was sitting at his desk he decided to talk to the potential customer regarding the forester for at least 10-15 mins. In my mind of was thinking about leaving. Also the whole time I wanted to buy the wrx he was trying to push a used STI on me. I really want to make a deal here because it is the closest subaru dealership to me, but i guess I need to start looking elsewhere. I would give this dealership another try if i can work with a different sales rep. More

I had my car in about 4 weeks ago and they told me that I would need new tires to pass inspection, so I got new tires. Now they say I need new brakes, why not tell me that ahead of time? Further more, they just put new brakes and rotors on my car about a year and a half ago and I have only put about 13-14k miles on it since then. Then they tell me for just front brakes is $180 plus labor! I can put them on myself and just the front brake pads are about $50 at Advanced Auto. Not to mention my 2 hour wait is almost 4 hours. Will not be coming here ever again. More
Excellent Purchase--Highly Recommended I had been researching Subarus for a while, and I finally settled on an Outback. Baierl is close to my home, so I went there. They lowballed me on my trade, and they would not even negotiate on the vehicle price or my trade. I initiated contact with West Liberty via the Internet, and I finally stopped in to the dealer to negotiate. They were honest and very fair, and they beat the Baierl price by a surprisingly large amount of $$. I was skeptical, but Pete and Jeff (manager) were awesome. If anyone is interested in purchasing a Subaru, skip Baierl and go to West Liberty. More
Bait and switch in March, 2015, we shopped for a Subaru Forester and visited this dealership. We were given a good price at a competing dealership, so we called Day W in March, 2015, we shopped for a Subaru Forester and visited this dealership. We were given a good price at a competing dealership, so we called Day West to cancel an appointment we had made there. Without our even asking, the salesperson immediately said she would see if they could meet that price, and came back and said they would. She followed up with an email to that effect. So, as this dealership is closer to us, we went in to purchase the car from them. We spent an hour there as they fiddled with paperwork, and then the salesperson came out with a contract at a higher price-no explanation, just shoved it under our noses hoping we wouldn't notice. We protested, pulled out our copies of the email, but they refused to honor the price. We left, drove 19 miles to Baierl, and ordered the car at the price they had originally quoted us, no xxxxxx business. When we got home, there was a voice mail from Day West saying that now they would honor the price. This kind of sleazy dealing leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I would never deal with them, for sales or service. More
Terrible and Insulting Trade-in value on my vehicle was over $11,000 BELOW blue book trade-in value (total insult to my intelligence)! Not willing to negotiate on the price Trade-in value on my vehicle was over $11,000 BELOW blue book trade-in value (total insult to my intelligence)! Not willing to negotiate on the price of the NEW car I was going to purchase from Subaru. With this all said, I was still willing to give them another chance and advised Ryan Gamble (salesman) via email and hard to believe its been 5 days and he has yet to respond! I only expect that the dealership make money as well as giving me a reasonable deal. This was highway robbery!!!!! Heading to another Subaru dealership tomorrow even though the distance is a little further. More

He was very good in getting my order placed and stayed on top of tracking it. He updated me on a regular basis. Was just as excited as I was when the car came in. He was very helpful in getting acquainted with the car, as this on is fully loaded and has many toys. . . I know Ted and Roger in service are very helpful and thorough in their work on my previous Subaru. I look forward to them taking care of my new baby. More
Stereotypical car shopping experience I went to Day to test drive a variety of 2014 Subaru vehicles. Rich was helpful with getting us the cars. I would say his knowledge of the vehicles I went to Day to test drive a variety of 2014 Subaru vehicles. Rich was helpful with getting us the cars. I would say his knowledge of the vehicles was about average to below average. I test drove an Impreza hatchback, Outback, and Legacy. I ultimately decided I liked the legacy best, and was willing to do a deal that day if the price would've been right. I had done much pricing research, so I quickly pulled up what Truecar.com said a fair price was for the car we were discussing. I had read an article earlier in the year that basically said True Car was funded by the manufacturers and dealer networks, so I know the price I saw on there was on the high end. When Rich asked me how much I wanted to spend, I knowingly low balled him about $1,500 below the True Car price. I could tell by his reaction he wasn't too happy. He also ran my trade-in through the AutoTrader marketplace estimator and dinged me for every little thing and then some. When the trade-in estimate said $4,800 he asked me if that was in line with what I was expecting. I told him no, that I had ran an estimate just a few weeks before and expected to be around $5,600. He said he'd see what he could do. Needless to say, he did the typical let me go work up the price with my manager thing. He came back said he had great news, showed me a price for the car that was way more than I wanted to spend, and told me he was getting me $5,600 for my trade. I asked him where the good news was. He didn't seem to understand. We went back and forth a bit more, with the same dissatisfaction. He tried other cars, same result. I left. He even called me the next week telling me he had something I was going to really like. I didn't like it. I found a deal just an hour away on a 2015 with everything I wanted and then some for less than what he was telling me he could do, plus they had evaluated my trade-in at $6,200. It seems like Day really does't know how to understand what heir customer really wants, and also tries to screw you on price and trade-in. I won't go back to them ever again except to comparison shop and test drive. More

I first talked with Dave and told him that I wanted to purchase the GTO they had listed and asked if it was available. He said yes it was. I said that I could wire the money immediately and that I would like to have it shipped to California. He said that I had to come into their store personally to purchase the car, and that they do not arrange shipping, that I would have to do that myself. I called again and asked to speak with the owner and was transferred to Jeff the GM. I told him that I wanted to purchase the car and could wire the money immediately and could he assist with shipping. He said that they ad done that before. He told me he would check on the arrangements and get back to me. While on the phone I received a call from the dealership but they did not leave a message. I called back three times, two of which I left voice messages with Mark the sales manager. On the third call I asked to speak with Jeff. He told me that there was someone purchasing the car. Unfortunately they do not want to work with an out of town buyer such as me. I had the money and would have purchased the car, but they chose to stall until they had someone come in to the store. Very UNETHICAL! They advertised the car nationwide, but would not deal with an out of state purchaser. More
