6000 mile service As always in the last 6 years of using the Subaru of Jacksonville Service Dept, I was in and out in no time. Max and Gabe did an excellent job! Service Dept. is Subpar I don't know the name of the service department member with whom we dealt, but it wasn't Gabe, whose name is on the card we were given when asked to r I don't know the name of the service department member with whom we dealt, but it wasn't Gabe, whose name is on the card we were given when asked to rate Subaru of Jax - Gabe was simply the person who "rang us up", so to speak, when it was time to pay for the service performed on our vehicle. First, the employee who wasn't Gabe tried to tell us that our rear brakes would need to be replaced soon - we just had the rear brakes replaced 7 months ago, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. Secondly, he recommended that our battery be replaced. As the battery was original to the vehicle, we agreed, only to find when we started the vehicle to leave the dealership, that they failed to reset the idle and the vehicle nearly stalled every time we started it. Refusing to leave the dealership, we demanded that the service department fix the idle on the vehicle, as they should have known enough to do when they replaced the battery, only to be told rather condescendingly by the employee who wasn't Gabe, that had we just allowed the vehicle to run for a while, the computer would have adjusted itself and the idle would have been fine (which I don't believe is true). Unfortunately, it was our distinct impression that the employee who wasn't Gabe saw two women and thought it appropriate to recommend needless service, and then to be condescending (borderline rude) when he was called out on his incompetence. More
Fixed problem quickly and with a smile. Had problem with brake light switch 200 miles from home dealer. Greeted this stranger with open arms and took care of the problem I less than an hour. While there are two Subaru dealerships in Jax, I only go to Subaru of Jacksonville on At I have always used a dealership for service on my Crosstrek. While there are two Subaru dealerships in Jax, I only go to Subaru of Jacksonville on Atlantic. They certainly reward loyal clients. I often take advantage of the express lane for my oil changes, and I'm in and out (with a carwash!) quickly. Thanks y'all. More
